YES! - it’s called a hometown remix jersey, not a throwback/vintage jersey. Nothing about blue represents PGH. Not the sports, not the rivers, & certainly not the sky. The only thing blue currently reps is the line where Pens players often turn the puck over.
Some are just different shades of their colors with their logo slapped on.
Others actually have “hometown” representative items
Then there’s the #LetsGoPens jersey with blue. Nothing screams PGH like BLUE.
Yes baby blue was their OG color but it’s not called a throwback jersey.
