The TGP supports Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations in developing local tourism products and services, with approximately 15% of the funding dedicated to Indigenous-led initiatives. The program prioritizes economic, environmental, and cultural sustainability, as well as initiatives extending the tourism season. Eligible applicants include small and medium-sized enterprises, Indigenous-owned businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and municipalities. Funding is project-based, with applicants able to request a maximum of $250,000 per project. Business applicants are eligible for fully repayable, interest-free funding. Not-for-profit organizations are eligible for non-repayable contributions. Projects must be completed no later than March 31, 2026.
