“If the current results hold, 2026 the flips would mark return toward the historical the norm, rather than the low numbers of the last couple of midterm elections.”

It is gratifying to have helped support the City of Moorhead in securing the federal funding needed to make the 11th Street underpass a reality.
This $171.6 million project is about so much more than infrastructure. It means fewer train blockages, safer and faster emergency response, less time and fuel wasted, and a stronger, more connected Moorhead for generations to come.
Congratulations to Mayor Shelly Carlson, the City of Moorhead, MNDOT, Minnesota’s Federal Delegation, and all of the community, state, federal, and private-sector partners who kept this project moving forward.

Congratulations to Joe Fowler, @LIUNAMinnesota and the Minnesota Building and Construction Trades on another successful Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Ribfest!
The fourth annual event brought people together for a fantastic day of great food — and support for an even greater cause. Primacy Strategy Group was proud to serve as a Platinum Sponsor this year.

The Health & PensionWORKS
Coalition hosted a productive and substantive roundtable with @SenatorBaldwin in Neenah, Wisconsin yesterday, focused on protecting and enhancing workers’ health care and retirement benefits.
Thank you to Senator Baldwin for the thoughtful discussion, and to @iupatdc7 for hosting and helping convene this important conversation with an excellent cross-section of members of the WI Building Trades.
Together, we’re advancing policies that support working people and their families.
It was fun, and productive, to be with my fellow PSGers at the first @CSGovts gathering I’ve attended since my time in the North Dakota State legislature:
Every state legislature is so unique. In order to strengthen relationships and promote innovation across borders, leaders gathered from the eleven-state region for the 80th Annual Midwest Legislative Conference.
Primacy Strategy Group was proud to be a Gold Sponsor at this week’s symposium in Minnesota’s Capitol city to hear from leading policy experts on the pressing issues facing lawmakers today including the future of energy, agriculture, technology, healthcare, and many more.
Special thanks to @CSGMidwest!
The Bureau of Economic Analysis recently released numbers showed the Dakotas with the largest increases in personal income from Q4 of 2025 - Q1 of 2026 with North Dakota seeing as 22.4% hike and South Dakota seeing an 11.8% jump for residents:

Last week, Primacy Strategy Group once again had the opportunity to support the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce to coordinate a powerful and productive fly-in to Washington, D.C.
It was a privilege to facilitate meetings with members from the North Dakota and Minnesota congressional delegations, as well as to convene a panel of senior leaders working in Washington, DC with Midwest roots, including key officials from Capitol Hill, the Farm Service Agency, and the Department of the Interior.
The action packed week included engagement with senior leadership from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Major Generals from the Air National Guard, and a key agricultural briefing from House Agriculture Committee Ranking Member, Congresswoman Angie Craig. The group held discussions with staff from Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s office on the state of the administration and the outlook for reconciliation 2.0 and met with Carlos Vanderloo, Minister-Counsellor for Economic and Trade Policy at the Canadian Embassy, at their headquarters for a briefing on U.S.–Canada relations and shared policy priorities.
We are proud to support the Chamber’s efforts to advocate for the region and connect with national leaders on the issues that matter most!

Last week, the Health&PensionWORKS Coalition had the opportunity to come together again in Washington, DC for our annual fly-in!
The week kicked off with a coalition briefing and dinner ahead of our Capitol Hill meetings, providing a chance for members to reconnect, exchange ideas, and strengthen the relationships that drive our work forward.
The following day, coalition members took that energy to the Hill, engaging with policymakers and staff to advance meaningful conversations on the issues that matter most to our industry and workforce, specifically on the Multiemployer Plan Relief Act.
We are incredibly grateful to our members for their time and commitment!

I met with the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades this week and presented a Congressional Record Insert to Terry Nelson in honor of his retirement. Terry has been a tireless advocate for labor in our state since day one – so much so that August 11 was officially designated Terry Nelson Day in Minnesota!
Terry, congrats on your retirement. I hope this new chapter brings time with family, new experiences and many happy Terry Nelson Days to come.
