On the story of our Popular Orthopedic surgeon.
He is fondly called Nwa Dubai.
He started working with an Orthopedic surgeon here in Onitsha since 2020
The surgeon is known for employing Auxiliaries, down to laboratory section.
Due to lack of a trained doctor, he tends to use the male nurses to do the job of the doctors.
After a period of 5 years, Nwadubia aka Dr Nwadubia opened up his own.
According to story, he has performed some procedures in his new place.
My question is.
If you could be loyal to a boss for 5yrs to learn how to do these procedures.
Why not use that years to go into medical school?
He probably could be in his finals by now

Talking about male doctors⌠they do the most!
Before I had my baby, I told a male doctor I wanted a CS.
He looked at me crazy and asked why, and I said because thatâs what I wanted. He tried to convince me, but I insisted.
What pissed me off was when he asked if my husband approved. I asked if it was my husband who was pregnant.
His countenance changed; he became meaner, but I didnât care. Out of frustration, he said I had to see their chief.
I said cool and asked where. Later, I saw the chief, luckily the man was from my hometown. We spent time catching up..later I told him why I came to see him.. we spoke at length and he told me everything I needed to know after He asked if I was sure, and I said 100%.
He said okay and gave me a date. On that date, I packed my bags, strolled to the hospital, and they delivered my baby.
I understand when a woman doesnât want a male doctorâŚ.they can be so rude.
Place. Him asking doesn't mean you don't have the right to your body. As someone who is married, male or female, you can't go under the knife without the knowledge of your spouse.
CS isn't a Minor procedure and can come with complications. The doctor needs to understand

When Issues like this Come up, I see People very eager to Criticize the Doctors so I will Share Personal Experience as an Internationally Trained Medical Doctor that came back home to Practice solely because of My Love for the Country-Nigeria.
After the hurdles of Passing MDCN that decided that only 30% of Us international trained doctors is Worthy of Passing (Heartless Nigerian Victimization Mindset), I got to work in a Government hospital.
In an Emergency Department in a government hospital all I had to work with was my hands, a thermometer and a BP Monitoring machine that I go to the ward to borrow. (You donât know how insane this is)
Iâm not even talking about the fact that Iâm sometimes on call 5 days in a week. Thatâs amounting to working 136 hours in a week.
I had moments that traumatized me, times I know what to do but lack basic equipments to do it with.
Was it the day that man was brought in Unconscious. I was about handing over. I went on my knees and did CPR, doing mouth to mouth with that man for almost 15 minutes before he regained consciousness. The joy in the families eyes. Got him admitted, just for me to come back to the emergency department in the evening, asked about him and heard he had died - the Oxygen was leaking, and they could not celotape it- A government hospital!
Or is it the day that 16 years sickle cell patient old only child of that woman- the way I was running around from ward to ward in the middle of the night looking for a department with OxygenâŚ
So when you come to emergency and we send you back, itâs because we canât help. We know what to do but we donât have what to do it with. Keeping you with us for an extra one minute can speed up your death so we refer you immediately.
Or how will you come with a gun wound at night to an hospital we donât even have light and we are attending to patients in the ward with torchlight from our phones.
But your leaders fly to places where death are not just diagnosed with opening of eyesâŚ
Then you say âWhy do Doctors Strike?â
We strike because we deserve better than the way we are treated by the government.
We Strike because OF YOU. We need the government to listen to us and equip the hospital. Why should I be kissing that man over and over when a small equipment can do that. Why should lives be lost due to avoidable occurrences.
Even if Some Doctors are not sitting up enough (a Working government will create policies and stand on their feet to ensure itâs actualized and lead to better health for the people. Ask Peter Obi)

A man is more inclined to remember who helped him at his lowest, than a woman. Itâs the fact
Take a woman out of poverty she will forever show you gratitude for changing her life, but take a man out of poverty you will see his real colors, that is when he will know you are not his spec, you will literally drag him with different side chick. He will even question you likeâ what did you even do for me that another person cannot do? Thatâs why I donât recommend brushing up a man as a woman.
They are actually worried about th wrong people. Consultants and Senior Registrars are leaving but itâs Young doctors they are worried about.
So you decided to keep them for 2 years; does it stop them from leaving?
Instead it will motivate them to hustle more within 2yrs to leave
