My next standout from the @NYBABasketball Development & Recruitment Camp with @PaulBiancardii was #213 @BentonWheeldon , and the rising star made his presence felt on both ends of the court.
Benton showed he could go get buckets while using his athleticism and bounce to bring another layer to his game. He battled hard on the boards, attacked the glass with energy, and made sure rebounds didn't come easy around him.
Defensively, Benton got after it and showed he could lock up while bringing plenty of fight to that side of the ball. With scoring ability, athleticism, bounce, rebounding, and defensive toughness already showing, this 2029 gem made it clear his name is one to watch.

Benton Wheeldon (@BentonWheeldon ) continues to show why he is one of the young names to know in Kentucky basketball. The 6'3 2029 standout is already cracking the starting lineup for a Logan County team loaded with talent, and he never looks overwhelmed by the moment. In a roster full of proven players, Wheeldon still found a way to make his presence felt and impact the game.
The young guard finished with 12 points and 4 rebounds in the win over Barron County, bringing confidence, toughness, and steady production whenever his number was called. What impressed me most was how comfortable he looked competing against older players. He played within the flow, made good decisions, made shots, and continued to show that he belongs on the floor. Logan County has plenty of weapons right now, but Benton is proving the future is already starting to arrive.
