ALT Bill C-15 would require the federal government to take all measures necessary to ensure Canadian laws are consistent with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The bill would also require the government to implement an action plan to achieve the Declaration’s objectives, which include combatting violence, racism and discrimination, as well as promoting mutual respect and understanding.
