Given we’re in the middle of baseball’s World Series, Scott Boland might be quietly wondering why cricket doesn’t have a bullpen … #SAvAUS

One of my favourite footy stats goes to God! 😞 After 49 years we again get two draws in a round! In 1977 both occurred south of the Yarra 🤨 Tigers-Dons at Waverley (99-99) was Tim Watson’s debut. Saints-Swans at Moorabbin (98-98) was Rowan Sawers debut.

Mightn’t have as good facilities/infrastructure, but the spectacle of a day game in Alice Springs compared to a night game in Darwin isn’t even a contest! #AFLDeesGiants

A titan of the football world, of the city of Melbourne and of Australia. Neale Daniher’s name and legacy will be remembered forever, which is the greatest tribute of all. An amazing man. An amazing life. Rest In Peace, Neale 🙏😢 #PlayOn

Why don’t we look at the start of the season, Ralphy? 🤨 Who was the ONLY club to play just once on its home ground in the first SIX games of the year? #StKilda

St Kilda has 10 straight games in Victoria to finish the season. Gold Coast travels six times in the last 11 weeks alone. So yes the Saints are off to Darwin to take on the Nepo Babies, but you can see why the Suns think competitive balance is stuffed. The article here 👇heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/s…

The right word, the right line, the right phrase … and always delivered at the right time. Vale Dennis Cometti - the best football commentator we’ve ever heard, and an absolute legend in the craft of sports broadcasting. And a heck of a good bloke. Sad, sad day 🙏😞

If it’s going to rain in Sydney (as it usually does), don’t s’pose we could start the SCG Test at the MCG tomorrow? And surely we can return to 6-Test series, given the first four will have taken 13 days to complete!! #Ashes

Three days on and the fact more hasn’t been made of @brisbanelions Bruce Reville being the first Bruce to win a Premiership 🏆 since Bruce Doull 43 years ago is a tad disappointing … #Bruce 😊
