This is 💯 the greatest use of social media of all time.
Keir Starmer posted this absolutely batshit video on his official TikTok page. I'm still oscillating between baffled and delighted.

Lords role is to scrutinise not to block this bill. It is role of elected MPs to make important public policy decisions. Constitutionally wrong for unelected Lords to frustrate Commons (and go against overwhelming public support for Assisted Dying Bill)
MPs are increasingly worried about tactics in the Lords that are holding back the Assisted Dying Bill. Decisions on this issue should rest with elected politicians, not those using delay to avoid debate. Thank you to @kitmalthouse for speaking up for the terminally ill.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
There are no formal limits on the Lords' power to reject a private members bill, so Harriet Harmon is incorrect. publiclawforeveryone.com/2025/06/20/wou…

Wonderful to have the Attorney General supporting the launch of Pro Bono Week followed by @Law_Works new Chair and a panel of pro bono practitioners.
To mark the opening of Pro Bono Week, Attorney General Lord Hermer KC, delivered a speech at Simmons & Simmons. He emphasised how pro bono work is a vital component of the rule of law and embodies the commitment to fairness and justice, ensuring the law serves everyone.

Small charities are lifelines – but many face closure as rising costs, shrinking donations and surging demand take their toll. I told today’s @DailyMirror that losing them would be especially damaging: they bring deep local knowledge where statutory services don’t reach.

It was great to have the Attorney supporting the @law_works student awards yesterday. A fantastic day celebrating student pro bono.
The Attorney General attended the 20th Attorney General's Student Pro Bono Awards. He was thrilled to meet so many pro bono ambassadors and to congratulate the nominees and winners. "Pro bono work is fundamental in upholding the rule of law and promoting access to justice.”
