Bexhill Cricket Club

Just prior to Christmas, Bexhill CC said a fond farewell to our good friend Guru, the powerhouse known to us all as *‘G’* 💙🏏 G has headed back to India, where he plans (tongue firmly in cheek!) to pass on his vast cricketing knowledge to Indian head coach *Gautam Gambhir* – his HERO!! 🔥 Thank you, G, for everything you’ve given to the club: the runs, the energy, the laughs, and the passion. You’ll be missed around the ground, but this is very much au revoir, not goodbye. We wish you all the very best and Bexhill CC can’t wait to welcome you back in the future 🙌 #BexhillCC #ClubCricket #CricketFamily #FarewellG #Powerhouse #OnceABexhillAlwaysABexhill #CricketLife

🏏 Moment of the 2025 Season 🏏 One moment that will live long in the memory from the 2025 season was seeing Harry pull out a scoop shot against the opposition’s opening bowler 😮🔥 Not exactly within character… which made it even better! A bold bit of improvisation that had teammates stunned, opponents confused, and plenty of laughs around the ground. Cricket never fails to surprise you 😄 Definitely one for the archives at Bexhill Cricket Club 👏🏏 #BexhillCC #ScoopShot #BattingGoals #ClubCricket #BexhillCricket #CricketBanter

🏏 Bexhill CC 2nd XI – Season Reflection 🏏 Despite the very best efforts of every player, our young and inexperienced Bexhill CC 2nd XI have unfortunately suffered relegation from Division 7 East this season. Under the excellent leadership of captain Adam Smith, ably supported by the ever-prolific Steve Phillimore, the side showed resilience, commitment and togetherness throughout the campaign. Steve’s role as an inspiring mentor was invaluable, particularly for the many players experiencing their first season of senior cricket. The end-of-season results brought disappointment, but the character shown in difficult moments speaks volumes. The experience gained this year will undoubtedly prove invaluable and lay strong foundations for the future cricketing careers of these young players. This team will learn, grow, and come back stronger. 💙 #BexhillCC #2ndXI #YoungCricketers #FutureStars #TeamSpirit #LearningCurve #GrassrootsCricket #CricketFamily #OnwardsAndUpwards #TheSportsmanPublicHouse #CheesmurBuildingContractors #PieceofCake #PhillimoreMotorEngineers #CoodenTaxConsulting #Cricket

🟡 PLAYER HIGHLIGHT | BEN PHILLIMORE (C) 🟡 2025 was a standout season for our captain, Ben Phillimore… 🔹 Lost every coin toss 🔹 Handed all team talks straight to Vice-Captain Scotty 🔹 Mastered the art of saying absolutely nothing 🔹 Still turned up, still led, still cared “I love this club.” ❤ Proof that leadership comes in many forms, some quieter than others! 👏 Cheers, Skip. #ClubCricket #CaptainLife #CoinTossCurse #ViceCaptainRunsTheShow #SilentLeadership #LoveThisClub #TeamSpirit #CricketHumour #ClubLegend

Our prolific run-machine Andrew Jay piled on plenty of runs himself in 2025, but when asked about his personal highlight, AJ didn’t hesitate… Watching Scott “Scotty” Woodroffe bring up his first Bexhill CC 50 👏 In AJ’s own words: “LEGEND.” 💥 Cricket’s about moments like these 💙 #UpTheBandits #TheSportsmanPublicHouse #CheesmurBuildingContractors #PieceofCake #PhillimoreMotorEngineers #CoodenTaxConsulting #Cricket #Highlights #BexhillCC #CricketFamily #ClubCricket #LEGEND #FirstFifty #TeamFirst #RunsOnTheBoard #CricketHighlights

What a belter of an evening celebrating 150 years of Bexhill Cricket Club! 🎉🏏 Cooden Beach Golf Club has never seen this many cricketers in suits — and frankly we handled it better than most of our fielding chances 😅 Massive thanks to everyone who joined us, and to Adger Brown, who delivered more laughs than we’ve had runs some weekends… 🤣👏 Here’s to 150 years of dodgy decisions, heroic innings, dropped catches, and lifelong memories. Roll on the next 150! 💙🍻 #BexhillCricketClub #150Years #AnniversaryDinner #CoodenBeachGolfClub #CricketFamily #ClubHistory #AdgerBrown #SussexCricket #CommunitySport #CelebrationNight #UpTheBandits #TheSportsmanPublicHouse #CheesmurBuildingContractors #PieceofCake #PhillimoreMotorEngineers #CoodenTaxConsulting #Cricket
