Early in his career, after a disastrous night on stage in Chicago, Bill Murray walked out into the street ready to end his life, and headed for the lake, thinking he might as well "float for a while" once he was gone... Instead, he turned up Michigan Avenue and found himself in front of the Art Institute of Chicago. He walked inside without even stopping to pay, because, in his words, he felt he was already "pretty much dead," and there, in front of him, was a painting he had always loved: The Song of the Lark, painted by the French artist Jules Breton in 1884. A young peasant woman stands barefoot in an empty field at dawn, a sickle in her hand, pausing in her work to listen to a lark somewhere above her, while behind her a huge orange sun is just rising over the horizon. Murray looked at her and saw a girl with very little to hope for, and yet, as he put it, "the sun’s coming up anyway and she’s got another chance at it." That simple thought was enough to bring him back because it made him feel that he too was a person, with "another chance every day the sun comes up." For every writer, creator and dreamer here on X, I want to leave you with this: think of this story the next time you feel your art is futile, or that your creative pursuit isn’t worth the effort. Somewhere, someday, someone may stand in front of what you made at the lowest moment of their life, and find in it a reason to see the sun come up one more time...

My wife asked what scares me the most about Halloween. I told her there’s really only one thing. She asked, “Which is?” I replied, “Exactly.”

Why not revolutionize the game and add a 3rd kicker to their starting roster? One to kick off, one for field goals, one for extra points. Maybe even a 4th in case one gets injured. Sean McVay's genius knows no bounds.
Rams activated K Joshua Karty from their practice squad.

I'm beginning to understand why people become grumpier or less enthused as they get older. Legends of childhood and life keep leaving, and the world seems a little dimmer. I might be watching a lot of Star Trek this weekend in celebration of their light. Make it so, Number 1.
Patrick Stewart has sadly passed away at the age of 86.

There's a mouse in my room. I first saw it last night and now I can hear it moving around somewhere. I can't get up to look for it, though, because there's a cat asleep on my leg. Her paws are twitching and her tail is flicking about. She's probably dreaming of catching mice.

ALERT: Cow leads police on a chase through a New York town, and an officer is seen trying to use a lasso to catch it. A 4-year-old Highland cow named Maggie from Little Cabin’s Farm was seen running down a road near Putnam County. Officers were filmed trying to corral Maggie, but she avoided being caught as she wove in and out of cars along the road. An officer eventually lassoed the cow, and Little Cabin’s Farm says she is back home safely. 🎥: Lake Carmel Community | FB

I feel like Argentina is going to win even more now. It would be just like them to be dominated, go a man down, and still find a way to win.

If Christian Pulisic wants to dominate like his dad dominated indoor soccer in the 90s, he's gonna need to grow a mullet. It's the only way.

Ok, I think we're safe...for now.
This is spooky. If Mexico wins this game 2-1 I think we're gonna need to pull the plug on Skynet...er, Grok...before it starts predicting the future of humanity is to be its slaves.

Pairing Buccigross and Weekes might be the worst decision ever made. They're literally tripping over one another each trying to talk at the same time. Just when I think ESPN hockey coverage can't get worse...
