I have just been in contact with the hacker, and they have confirmed that all my data (except for my IPs) still exists and has not been deleted, even though I filed a GDPR deletion request. They even still have data linked to an alt account that also filed a GDPR deletion request
We're aware of a security incident involving Double Counter, a third-party bot developer. We've confirmed Discord's systems were not breached.
We are preventing new server installs of Double Counter's app while we investigate the incident. We're working closely with Double Counter and will take further actions as appropriate to protect our users.

This is more limited than the post implies. It only applies to some parts of Discoverable Servers. Private Servers, Community Servers, DMs, group DMs, and private or role-restricted channels in Discoverable Servers are excluded too. Usernames and avatars are not shown next to messages.
We made this update because over the years people told us useful info that used to be findable on the web had gotten hard to track down.
Admins and members get to decide how their content is shared, or can opt out completely.
Starting today, admins can pick which channels take part, or opt out entirely, in Server Settings > Web Presence. If you don’t want your messages shown, turn it off anytime in User Settings > Data & Privacy.
It's sad that Nathan is straight up lying now. I was in the exact same boat. I did not interact with the bot after doing a GDPR deletion request, yet my data was still saved.
And the worst part is, his reasoning to even store the emails to begin with... was to email big servers, which violates Rule 7 ('Protect Discord Users') of Discord's Developer Policy: support-dev.discord.com/hc/e…
I find it a bit sad that Discord is just 'working with them.'
I can't wait for the security vulnerabilities 🔥🔥
You guys ready to get your data leaked?? 🥵🥵
We vibe coded the Epic Games Launcher to be faster than the other guy.
Don't believe us? Test it out for yourself in Preview:

This is how one of the top staff members in the Double Counter server reacted to the bot being exposed for violating GDPR, using our mutual deceased colleague against us.
They're really using a dead person as a "gotcha" over the fact that they were exposed for breaking GDPR.
Double Counter has silently changed its Privacy Policy. What did they change? They changed some of the wording, removed an entire section (Data Retention), and changed most of the wording in another section (Security).
Left = before
Right = now
