🔥 In 195 BC, Rome faced something it had never seen before. Women flooded the streets, pressured lawmakers, and demanded the repeal of laws restraining luxury. On the Senate floor, Cato the Elder warned: “If each of us had maintained his authority over his own wife, we should have less trouble with women as a whole… The moment they begin to be your equals, they will be your superiors.” He wasn’t speaking from hatred. He was speaking from observation. He understood that when authority in the home is surrendered, it doesn’t stay contained—it reshapes society. Rome ignored him. Centuries later, one of America’s founders saw the same pattern. John Adams wrote in 1776: “We know better than to repeal our masculine systems… which would completely subject us to the despotism of the petticoat.” By “despotism of the petticoat,” Adams was referring to women—and warning that if male authority were surrendered, women would come to rule over men. Different civilizations. Same warning. This isn’t about denying that women have value. It’s about recognizing where that value is meant to be expressed—in the home, not in the realm of political rule. Sadly, Adams’ warning was ignored by those who came after him. And men in America, like the men of Rome, gave in to the protests and pressure of women. In time, they granted women equal rights with men. And now, much like Rome became, we have become a soft and weakened society. And like Rome, we too will fall if we do not reverse course. The Bible warns that a society ruled by women, rather than by men, is one under the judgment of God: “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” — Isaiah 3:12 And now in the last 150 years we see the consequences of society making women equal with men. Plummeting marriage rates and birth rates and skyrocketing divorce rates. A society where people live for themselves based completely on their feelings. A wicked society that encourages promiscuity and abortion. Make no mistake America and Western culture will collapse and return to the natural order of Patriarchy one way or the other. It will either collapse suddenly under the weight of its own foolishness or it will return to patriarchy gradually as men and women turn back to God and embrace his order for society. The choice is ours. 📖 Why God Created Two Genders 🎙️ Unfiltered Podcast – link in bio #biblicalgenderroles #politics #feminism #feminismiscancer #egalitarianism

You’re not wrong for wanting a virgin wife. But you are also not wrong for marrying a woman who is isn’t a virgin but has repented of her former sinful lifestyle. This viral post from @TrevorSheatz is sparking debate—but the truth is, the Bible doesn’t force us into an either/or. It gives us both grace and standards. First—grace is real. No one is beyond redemption. No past is too broken for God to cleanse. 📖 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9) A woman who has sinned sexually, repented, and turned to Christ is forgiven. She is cleansed - spiritually. But sexual sin can have lasting physical and emotional consequences, and those realities should not be ignored when choosing a spouse. But here’s what many are afraid to say today… Virginity still matters. God didn’t treat it as meaningless—He treated it as valuable. 📖 “And he shall take a wife in her virginity…” (Lev. 21:13) And the New Testament reinforces that ideal: 📖 “…that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” (2 Cor. 11:2) Virginity is used as a picture of purity itself. So no—a man is not wrong for valuing it. He is not shallow. He is not unspiritual. Here’s the real balance: If a man lived in sexual sin and then repented, he should be humble enough to consider a woman who has done the same. But if a man has remained sexually pure, there is nothing sinful about him desiring the same in a wife. That’s not hypocrisy. That’s consistency. The problem with posts like this is subtle: In trying to remove shame from women’s past sin, they often end up shaming men for having standards. Men are told: “Don’t prioritize virginity. Don’t value it that much.” Scripture never says that. God values sexual purity. So it’s not wrong for men to value it too. You don’t have to choose between grace and standards. The Bible doesn’t. Grace forgives the past. Standards still guide the future. It’s not either/or. It’s both. 📖 Want a deeper biblical breakdown of sex, purity, and marriage? 🔥For most of human history, marriages were arranged or strongly guided by families, not by young people following their feelings. Parents and elders helped pair couples based on shared faith, family compatibility, character, and the ability to build a stable household. The idea that individuals should search for a spouse based on romantic attraction, personality, and chemistry is actually a very modern development. This shift began largely in the 18th and 19th centuries in the West, when the idea of “romantic marriage” began replacing the older family-guided model. In biblical societies, marriage was not primarily about looks, personality, or emotional chemistry. Those things were considered secondary to wisdom and stability. In fact, it was not uncommon for couples to enter marriage without strong attraction and then grow into affection and bonding afterward. Love was expected to grow within the covenant of marriage, not necessarily before it. Scripture even shows God instructing Israel to practice this kind of family-guided marriage: “Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.” — Jeremiah 29:6 This command was given to Israel as a theocratic nation. The New Testament does not require Christians to continue the practice of arranged marriages as a law for the church. But the fact that God commanded it for Israel shows that He clearly viewed arranged marriage as a good and wise practice. Modern dating tells young people to trust their feelings. Biblical wisdom reminds us that the most important decision of life should involve the guidance of those older and wiser than we are. If you want to explore these topics further, check out my book Why God Created Two Genders: The Case for Biblical Gender Roles and my BGR Unfiltered podcast, where I discuss marriage, masculinity, femininity, and sexuality from a biblical perspective. #relationships #Relationshipadvice #datingadvice #biblicalmarriage #marriageadvice

🚿 A Husband's Love Cleanses—It Doesn't Coddle Prudishness and Pride. Husbands: This is YOUR calling. Wash your wife with the Word to present her spotless, holy, and pleasing to both yourself and to God (Eph 5:25-27 KJV). That mud is sin: prudishness, pride, false piety/modesty, denial, delay—fear-based walls blocking vulnerability and your visual/physical delight in her. Your masculine desires are not crude, dirty, or perverted—they are pure and undefiled (Heb 13:4 KJV). Make no mistake, when a wife is ravishing, sexually intoxicating, her husband - this pleases God. But when a wife shames her husband for his masculine sexual desires, this displeases God. God calls her to ravish you as her husband: "be thou ravished always with her love" (Prov 5:19 KJV). Scripture says you are to be intoxicated by your wife—not the reverse. Her prudishness is the very opposite of how God intends her to act toward you. The Priority is clear: "Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man." (1 Cor 11:9 KJV)—not him for her. Husbands may show kindness by approaching her relational side at times (as due benevolence), but there are no prerequisites for sex in Christian marriage. Husbands have full freedom to desire/approach anytime in your God-designed visual/physical way. Wives have equal freedom to initiate. No deprivation except mutual consent for prayer/fasting (1 Cor 7:3-5 KJV). Wives: Step out of comfort zones. Respect his visual/physical perspective. Ravish him intentionally—don't insist he meets your emotional needs first before sex. Husbands: Wash lovingly, persistently—like Christ. Present her glorious. Wives: Drop pride/fear. Be the ravishing wife who intoxicates him. Husbands: Tell her clearly what intoxicates you - don't be shy or ashamed of your manly desires. Wives: Ask honestly, “What can I do to be more ravishing to you? What delights/intoxicates you?” No excuses or shutdowns—obey God's design. See link in bio for my podcast "A Biblical Guide to Ravishing Your Husband" on bgrlearning.com—teaching from Song of Solomon how to be a ravishing wife. #MarriageAdvice #RelationshipAdvice #BiblicalGenderRoles #Femininity #Masculinity

🔥 Marriage was never meant to be a partnership. It was always meant to be a patriarchy. Genesis 3:16 did not establish man’s authority — and it was not the result of the fall. It reinforced and restored the authority Adam failed to exercise. Adam was established as head before the fall (Gen 2:18–23; 1 Cor 11:8–9; 1 Tim 2:13). When Satan tempted Eve, Adam failed to restrain or lead and instead followed her into sin. This is why Scripture says sin entered the world through one man, not one woman (Rom 5:12). ⚠️ The first half of Genesis 3:16 describes the effect of the fall: “Your desire will be for your husband” — a corrupted desire to control him (cf. Gen 4:7). 📖 The second half is God’s corrective command: “He shall rule over you” — instructing the man to do what Adam failed to do: exercise righteous headship. Some claim Jesus reversed authority because He came to serve (Mark 10:45). But Christ was not redefining marriage — He was redefining how brothers in the church relate to one another (Matt 20:25–28). ✝️ Christ served in His first coming to purchase His bride (Eph 5:25; Acts 20:28). Service was the means of redemption — not the removal of headship. 👑 When Christ returns, He will not return as a servant. He will return as King and Head over His Bride (Eph 5:23; Col 1:18; Eph 1:22; Phil 2:9–11). Marriage was never designed as an equal partnership. It was designed to image covenant authority. Peter confirms this by pointing to holy women who obeyed their husbands and regarded them as earthly lords (1 Pet 3:5–6). ✅ Genesis 3 does not abolish headship. It exposes rebellion — and reasserts God’s design. 📖 Learn more in my book Why God Created Two Genders 🎙️ Uncensored teaching on the Biblical Gender Roles Podcast 🌐 BGRLearning.com #BiblicalMarriage #BiblicalPatriarchy #ChristianMasculinity #MarriageGodsWay #Headship #BiblicalGenderRoles

‼️This is not a defense of corn use. This is a discussion about how wives should respond to their husband’s corn use from a Biblical perspective. 📖 “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” — Matthew 5:28 (NASB) In the Bible, adultery in the sexual sense is always and without exception when a man has sex with another man’s wife. Jesus spoke of mental adultery in Matt. 5:28 — again, this means a man is thinking about enticing another man’s wife into cheating on her husband with him. ⚖️ The only way a man can commit adultery against his wife is if he divorces her for unlawful reasons (Mark 10:11). 📜 In Exodus 21:10, the Bible defines marital faithfulness for a man as him providing his wife with food, clothing, and sex. According to a recent 2024 Barna Group survey of Christian men, 75 percent of men admitted to having issues with corn use.  So how should a wife respond to finding out that her husband views corn? 📖 1 Peter 3:1–2 (NASB) answers this question: “In the same way, you wives, be subject to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won over without a word by the behavior of their wives, as they observe your pure and respectful behavior.” 🚫 If a woman finds that her husband views corn, she should not shame him or rebuke him. 🚫 She should not try to bring him before her church elders or run around to family and friends telling them. ✅ Instead, she should attempt to win him away from corn use by giving him her body so freely and so often that he won’t have an sexual energy left for corn. #christianmarriage #biblicalwoman #femininity #biblicalgenderroles #masculinity

🛑Doug Wilson is not a true Biblical Patriarchist.  Yes, he said something very close to the statement above recently. Go to @cannonpress and check this out for yourself. Like Doug Wilson, I believe that there is one God and the Bible is his inerrant Word. Like Doug Wilson, I believe in Christian nationalism. Like Doug Wilson, I am very much believe in homeschooling. Like Doug Wilson , I believe a woman's place is in the home making and raising babies. But Doug Wilson is not true Biblical Patriarchist, he is Chivalrous Patriarchist at best and looking more and more like a Complementarian every day in the counsel he gives on marriage. Doug Wilson may say he believes in the headship and lordship of the husband, but he waters these concepts down so much to make them of none effect. The husband is a "guest in his home" and he is "not the boss man"? Really Doug? #canonpress #dougwilson #biblicalpatriarchy #biblicalgenderroles #Complementarianism

🔥The Bible says a man owns his wife but she does not own him. That statement offends modern ears—but it is rooted in Scripture, not tradition. ⚠️ Modern Christianity has been taught that marriage is based on mutual ownership—that a wife owns her husband just as much as a husband owns his wife - This idea does not come from Scripture. ✅ The Bible consistently teaches that a husband owns his wife, not the other way around. 📜 Start with the Law. In the 10th Commandment, God lists a man’s wife among his property: “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife…” — Exodus 20:17 The command is not mutual. A wife is included in the man’s household possessions. There is no command against coveting a woman’s husband. 🤵👰Now consider the language of marriage. In the Hebrew, there is no special word for husband, wife or married. The word בָּעַל (baʿal) means owner, master, lord—and it is the word used for husband. A married woman in Hebrew is described as "an owned(baʿal-ed) woman". A man is never described this way in relation to his wife. ➡️ And the direction of marriage is always one-way: 👨‍👧 Women are given by their fathers 🤵 Men take wives 🏠 A woman enters her husband’s household and name ❓ So what about 1 Corinthians 7:2–4? Paul is addressing sexual obligation, not covenant ownership or authority. Mutual sexual access does not erase marital order—just as access to a house does not make one its owner. ⚖️ Biblical marriage is not built on equality. 🧱 It is built on order. 📘 For deeper biblical teaching on marriage, authority, and gender roles, see my book Why God Created Two Genders and related podcasts at BGRLearning.com.

🔥Sex is a duty in marriage. Delay can be just as sinful as denial. 📖“Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.” (1 Corinthians 7:3–5, KJV) The Bible does not frame sex in marriage as optional, conditional, or mood-based. It frames it as a duty that is owed. Paul calls it “due benevolence,” not a favor, not a reward, and not something to be withheld for leverage. Neither spouse has the authority to deny the other. Marriage establishes mutual obligation, not a system of bargaining or emotional gatekeeping. Yes—Scripture also assumes wisdom and compassion. Seasons of sickness, recovery, or severe emotional distress are real, and a loving spouse does not demand sex in those moments. Temporary abstinence by mutual consent is explicitly allowed. But in practice, this issue overwhelmingly falls on wives, not husbands. Most husbands are not withholding sex from their wives. Most wives, however, justify delay by saying they are “not in the mood,” or by intentionally making their husbands wait in order to heighten desire, assert control, or enjoy the power that comes from being pursued. Scripture gives no such exemption. Sex in marriage is not determined by matching moods, but by marital obligation. When a wife withholds or delays sex without biblical cause, she is not exercising wisdom—she is defrauding her husband of what God says is due to him. Marriage is not a game of scarcity. And sex was never meant to be used as a tool of control. 📘 For a deeper, Scripture-grounded defense of biblical marriage, headship, and marital duties, read my book Why God Created Two Genders. amazon.com/dp/B0FDXLYQR3/ 🎙️ For my unfiltered teaching—where nothing is softened or censored by social-media rules—listen to my podcast. bgrlearning.com/

🔥 A woman’s insecurity can erase years of her husband’s love—literally overnight. 💔➡️❤️ Ladies, God designed you with deep feelings. But those feelings can distort reality when insecurity hits. In those moments you may feel like your husband “never” loved you—even though he’s shown love in a hundred ways. Scripture warns: “The heart is deceitful above all things” (Jer. 17:9) “He who trusts in his own heart is a fool” (Prov. 28:26) “Walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Cor. 5:7) Your feelings are real—but not always true. God calls wives to the hard work of: 💡 Submitting feelings to truth 💡 Responding based on reality 💡 Honoring, serving, and pleasing your husband (Gen. 2:18) Many forget this: 👉 Your husband wasn’t created to make you feel good about yourself. 👉 You were created to be his helper under his leadership. Another truth: ⭐ Your husband’s love language may not match yours. Most men rarely verbalize affection. They show love through: provision, protection, repairs, sacrifice, faithfulness, daily responsibilities. These are non-verbal love languages. A wise wife learns the language he actually speaks, not just the one she prefers. Choose to: ✔ See his love even when it’s quiet ✔ Accept love in the form he gives it ✔ Feel loved because of actions—not only words ⭐ Practical Wisdom ✔ Journal weekly ✔ Watch his actions—they reveal his heart ✔ Reject emotional lies like “He never loves me” Truth usually says: “He has been loving me all along.” 📘 For deeper biblical insight, read my book Why God Created Two Genders—amazon.com/dp/B0FDXLYQR3/ Side note for men: Never let your wife badger you into becoming verbal or emotional on demand. Show love the way God directs you—through action, duty, and faithfulness. Don’t center your life on making her feel loved; center it on obeying God’s commands toward her. #howawomansbrainworks #ChristianWife #TradWife #BiblicalMarriage #ChristianFemininity #WifeLife #Proverbs31Woman #BiblicalGenderRoles

🔥 Under God’s law, the adulterer and adulteress died. Under modern law, the betrayed husband becomes a financial prisoner of his adulterous ex-wife — sometimes for life. God’s Law Was Clear “And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife… the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.” — Lev. 20:10 Under Scripture, adultery wasn’t profitable. It was deadly. Modern Law Is the Opposite Today an adulterous woman can move in with the man she cheated with, keep the kids, demand child support, collect alimony, and be rewarded — as long as she doesn’t marry him. The husband is chained to payments for years… or forever. So what should men do in a system openly rigged against them? Do we abandon marriage because the culture corrupted it? No. Men take it back. How? • Reject women who show the traits of adultery, rebellion, and feminism. • Choose women who love God and His Word above themselves. • Build marriages on covenant, obedience, and Biblical order. What Does an Adulterous Woman Look Like? Proverbs 7 warns that the adulterous woman is “loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house.” If she’s loud, opinionated, stubborn, and always wants to be anywhere but home… If she lives for girls’ nights, parties, shopping, and attention — run. When godly men reject the traits of the adulterous woman, reclaim marriage, and raise faithful children, they lay the foundation for future generations to reclaim the culture — and eventually civil government itself. That’s how unjust systems are dismantled. This culture war, and the spiritual war beneath it, will not be won quickly. ⚔️ We are only in the opening battles. 🛡️ It will take multi-generational faithfulness to reclaim this nation for Christ. ✝️🇺🇸 If you want to know how to join this fight as a man, read my book Why God Created Two Genders: 📘💪 amazon.com/dp/B0FDXLYQR3/ #biblicalpatriarchy #genderroles #christianmarriage #christianmen #christianwomen #manosphere #divorce #feminismexposed #feminismiscancer #culturaldecay #truth #scripture

The whole “sex = marriage” idea just isn’t biblically accurate. Scripture absolutely shows that sex consummates a marriage, but nowhere does the Bible teach that sex creates a marriage all by itself. That’s a modern oversimplification that falls apart the moment you test it against Scripture. Look at Exodus 22. When a man seduces a virgin, God says her father can refuse to give her to him. If sex automatically created marriage, the father wouldn’t have any authority left—there would be nothing to “refuse.” But God explicitly gives the father the power to stop the marriage even after sex has already happened. That alone proves sex and marriage are not the same thing. Deuteronomy makes the same point. The man “takes her to himself as wife,” and after that he goes in to her. The covenant comes first, and the sexual union seals it. The Bible never reverses the order and says the sexual act itself creates marriage. Covenant → consummation. That is the biblical pattern throughout. The Jacob and Leah story shows this just as clearly. Jacob did not choose Leah; she was slipped into the marriage bed without his consent. When he woke up the next morning and discovered the deception, he immediately confronted Laban. That confrontation tells us everything we need to know. If sex alone created an automatic marriage, there would be nothing to confront. But Jacob did confront him, because intercourse had not yet created any covenantal recognition. It is also clear from the way Jacob interacts with Laban that Jacob had the ability to refuse Leah. The sex itself did not make him her husband. His acceptance—or rejection—would. But Jacob found himself in a difficult situation because of Laban’s authority and the local custom Laban explained. Laban told him plainly that in their land the older daughter must be married before the younger. That was the household and regional rule Jacob was up against. Jacob knew that if he rejected Leah after the deception, Laban would never allow him to marry Rachel. Refusing Leah meant losing Rachel forever. So Jacob accepted Leah, not because he was magically married to her through sex, but because accepting her was the only way forward if he also wanted Rachel. His acceptance of Leah established the covenantal marriage. The intercourse by itself did not. And honestly, biblical polygyny doesn’t need the “sex = marriage” theory anyway. Scripture already supports polygyny plainly and repeatedly. God Himself says He gave David “your master’s wives.” God blessed Leah when she gave her husband another wife. The Levirate law literally commands a man to take a second wife for his brother. And many righteous men in Scripture had multiple wives without any rebuke from God. The biblical support for polygyny is strong and straightforward. But we also need to be careful not to latch onto every teaching that sounds like it supports polygyny. Not every argument is a good one. A doctrine can seem helpful while still being false. We should stand on the passages Scripture actually gives us and stay away from faulty reasoning that doesn’t belong. A weak argument is still weak even if it appears to lean in our direction. Let’s use the real biblical foundations for polygyny and ignore the ones that crumble under scrutiny. I’ll also add this: I agree completely that nothing in Scripture requires a pastor, clergy, government license, or official wedding ceremony to establish a marriage. None of that is biblical. What we see in Scripture is very simple—a man and a woman enter into a covenant of marriage, and then they consummate that covenant through sexual union. No state, no officiant, no ritual demanded. Just covenant first, consummation second. That’s the biblical pattern. So the bottom line is this: sex consummates a marriage, but sex does not create marriage. And biblical polygyny stands firmly on the foundation God Himself laid. It doesn’t need a flawed “sex = marriage” doctrine to support it.
Did Adam and Eve have a wedding? An officiant? A state issued license? What, then, made them married? “Is united” (Gen 2:24) is the poetic rendering of intercourse. In Hebrew the word used is “dabaq”, Strong’s definition is “to impinge.” Oxford Dictionary’s word origin for impinge is to “drive something in”—sexual intercourse in every sense. This event is witnessed repeatedly in the Law: “… Her husband’s brother shall go in to her and take her to himself as wife…” (Deut 25:5) “… after that you may go in to her and be her husband and she shall be your wife…” (Deut 21:13) Even in the case of an unbetrothed virgin, if the father doesn’t annul the union (Ex 22:16-17, Num 30:5), the marriage commences. “If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife.” — Exodus 22:16 If you reject “sex is marriage,” how then did Laban’s trick work? Although Jacob did not consent to marry Leah, he could not annul the union for the virgin had been entered and was no longer a “virgin” but a “wife” (Gen 29:23-25). Laban approved, and they were therefore married (Ex 22:16-17). Jacob continued to desire Rachel, Laban demanded another 7 years for her (Gen 29:27), to which Jacob agreed. When Jacob entered Rachel, he married her (Gen 29:30) and was now the husband of two wives (Gen 32:22). Since “sex is marriage,” and men are required to provide for all lawfully available women they enter (Ex 21:10, Deut 22:28-29, 1 Tim 5:8), polygyny is both the result and requirement of entering more than one woman. By the first century, the Hellenized Jews didn’t care for this expensive requirement and began to imitate the Greco-Romans by divorcing one wife to marry another, absolving themselves from the provision statutes. Jesus clearly despised this practice (Matt 5:31-32, 19:3-9, Mark 10:11-12, Luke 16:18). To those who have ears to hear—Jesus absolutely prefers polygyny to divorce and remarriage and yet, even today, Believers despise polygyny and turn a blind eye to divorce and remarriage. Pastors like @MikeWingerii, @olivetree1569, @PastorMark and more who fervently condemn polygyny, why don’t you do the same with divorce and remarriage? Are you afraid to lose tithes? “The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things, and they ridiculed him. And he said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God. “The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone forces his way into it. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void. “Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.” — Luke 16:14-18

And just to add something important from the New Testament — Jesus Himself makes a clear distinction between a sexual relationship and a marriage covenant. When He speaks to the Samaritan woman in John 4:18, He tells her, “You have had five husbands, and the man you have now is not your husband.” That word “have” in the Greek is echo, and in this kind of context it’s a well-known euphemism for an intimate, sexual relationship. Paul uses the exact same wording in 1 Corinthians 5:1 when he describes a man “having” his father’s wife. It’s not referring to roommates or housemates. It’s describing physical intimacy. So Jesus is plainly saying that she had been in five legitimate marriage covenants, but the man she was currently intimate with was not her husband. If sex automatically created marriage, Jesus simply could not say that. The whole contrast He’s making depends on the fact that sexual activity does not equal a marriage covenant. This is why the “sex = marriage” view doesn’t hold up. Jesus Himself directly acknowledges a sexual relationship outside of covenant and explicitly calls the man she was sleeping with “not your husband.” The text, the Greek, and the context don’t allow any other reading. Jesus blows that doctrine up with one sentence.

Ephesians 5:21 isn’t teaching that everyone submits to everyone else — that logic would make parents submit to their children. Paul follows verse 21 with directional commands, not mutual ones, and Ephesians 5:22–24 makes the order unmistakably clear.
