I’ve seen SO many posts just carving Monty for the D-Pairings.. seem pretty logical to me
Broberg’s success of late has been pairing him with a traditional stay at home Dman like Barron.. so Monty paired him with the better, more veteran version in Carlo
We know Jiricek is an offensive first, jump up into the play style DMan.. the way Broberg has been playing. So Monty slotted Barron with him…
Sometimes I think us #LGB faithful just like to yap.

#Broberg was so good tonight. Having him on the PP1 just seemed to change his entire mindset. He looked more aggressive, faster, more involved.
Everything the Blues needed. Huge win.
Broberg led the team in shots/points/TOI… and more importantly only ONE of his shots missed the net.. Blues fans have been watching D-Men miss the net on PP chances for YEARS.
🚨🚨THOSE 6 SHOTS TONIGHT WERE THE MOST IN A GAME FOR BROBERG SINCE BECOMING A BLUE…🚨🚨he had 5 shots one other time last year. Just turn him loose.

2nd picture shows almost 76% of the SHL games YTD have hit the UNDER 6.5 mark.. compare that to 55% for the #NHL at the same rate.

Odd time to post considering the #MNWild put 2 on him in the 1st…

Starting to wonder if Hofer is becoming a serious candidate to be starting in net for #TeamCanada 🇨🇦
One of the league leaders in shutouts down the stretch last year with some of the best numbers in the game.
And picking up right where he left off.
Binner, Thompson and Kuemper were the last round of goalies for Team Canada.
But HAVE to think Hofer is making a real push.

AND the blues got an additional 2026 1st that they used on Dagenais, and helped them feel comfortable using additional capital to go get McTavish..
McMicheal and McTavish have been unbelievable for the #Blues… and neither are here without the Kyrou trade.

The guy does anything Monty asks him to do.
He’s constantly on the receiving end of all the hate from Blues fans and I just do not understand it.
He’s not 30+ goal guy.
What he is though, is a tough on the puck player. Great PK’er. Largely durable consistent spot in the lineup.
AND… we got him for Sammy Blais (who is playing for the Belleville Senators…. And a 2nd round pick which turned out to be nothing)
AND… he’s locked up for $8mill/yr through 2031..in today’s landscape that’s a run of the mill DMan..
Yall need to realize that ROR was a consistent 50 point guy who did other things well. It’s all about roles and Buch role isn’t to be a pure goal scorer. You have Snuggerud, Holloway, even Neighbours (via playstyle). Now you added McT & McM to score. Not hard to grasp. #stlblues
