All because these ridiculously stupid “metrics” and “ratings” and “models” gift the entire SEC an advantage before ANY games are played.
Think about that. In the transfer portal era where entire teams constantly flip each season, ONE conference consistently gets given permanent blind benefit of the doubt before any games are played.
That then skews the AP voters opinions, which influences public perception, and that skews the CFP.
Then the CFP rolls around, and to everyone’s shock the SEC is annually massively overrated and can’t even reach the national title game anymore.
And then the cycle restarts.

Another emergency-relief setback for the NCAA in the 5-for-5 litigation, and this Kentucky ruling has some particularly interesting findings.
The judge found the NCAA failed to demonstrate an “imminent, ruinous, and incalculable injury” warranting an emergency stay.
She also warned against athletes' eligibility being allowed to “flip-flop repeatedly” during litigation.
Perhaps most interestingly, she pointed out that the NCAA never sought Kentucky Supreme Court review of its September 4 emergency-relief denial, explicitly finding that this undermined its renewed claims of urgency.
What this means: Texas Tech QB Thomas Castellanos, Seth Trimble, Mark Mitchell, and other covered plaintiffs remain protected by the October 16 temporary injunction.

"The NCAA has not shown that there is an imminent, ruinous, and incalculable injury that will befall it if this Court does not grant a stay of the injunction."
