The federal government imposes a 13% duty on bicycles imported to Canada from Asia and the US - unfairly driving up the costs Canadians pay for bikes and hurting your local bike shop. This has to stop. #DumpTheDuty #SupportYourLocalBikeShop teapawt.org/BikeBikeYYC/status/110…

Fun. So on that note - can your team make it a pre-condition that HRM councillors have to give up their cars and rely on bicycles/public transit for at least one full week before they can spend the gas tax money?

Happy #bikestoreday to our local independent bike shop owners. In 1892 a bicycle track and grandstand were built in Waterloo Park. Bicycle, motorcycle and dog races took place there. bit.ly/2ToQ8zx @BikeStoreDay @ontariocycle @CycleWaterloo @McPhailsCycle @KingStCycles
