Our strained relationship with visible goes back to our childhood, when we were first told to perform for ppl who wanted us to step outside ourselves. For clarity, I like to ask myself “who do you want to see you, & who are you showing up to serve when you make yourself visible?”

I really heavily root for black British boys making R&B soul type music bc everybody assumes they are just all in rap. Black boys can lean into soft and slower paced sounds too. He’s such a breath of fresh air.

I learnt that if you want to be really successful in anything, you must execute & move on quickly. You can’t sit on ideas for too long or u start to sabotage but you can’t also stay w things for too long. You acknowledge the mistake & move on so quick it’s like it never happened.
