Didn't the steel and aluminum tariffs get signed on back in December 2025? It can't be removed. Carney is using it to his advantage.
Hold on a second. Canadians have been told, for months, that a key tenet in the Prime Minister's whole trade strategy is "walk away from Washington, pivot to Europe". Now we find out his own officials told him in December 2025 that the pivot runs straight into a wall?
The EU's carbon tariff hits Canadian steel, iron and aluminum, the same metals already hit by U.S. tariffs. And even though, with great fanfare, the Prime Minister is forging ahead with some kind of "associate membership" for Canada in the EU, an exemption is "not currently possible." In other words, he sat on that detail for 10 months, until an access to information request forced it out days before he hosts the Canada-EU Summit.
So the plan is: turn down the August terms that were agreed then disagreed to in three days with the U.S., tell workers Europe is the answer, and quietly know Europe is putting up its own border charge. According to the @CBCNews report, that charge is close to $900M a year in exposure in Newfoundland and Labrador, $792M in Quebec, and adds up to $150 more per tonne of steel by 2034.
And recall that he weakened the carbon price in his Alberta deal while knowing that, with it, he made an EU exemption even harder to get.
What kind of diversification is it if you're trading one tariff wall for two and hoping nobody reads the memo?
Don't be fooled by this game. Carney and Ursula Hitler are scheming to push this carbon tax bullshit to get more of the Canadians tax dollars. It's one big fraud and money laundering scam. If only the rest of Canada would wake up before Carney bleeds Canada into bankruptcy.
Replying to @NeilOberman
Mark Carney, your own officials put it in writing in December 2025: Canadian steel, iron, and aluminum face the EU’s carbon tariff. Exemption not currently possible. $2.8 billion in exports exposed. Newfoundland and Quebec hit hardest. You sat on that for ten months while telling workers Europe is the answer and hosting a summit about an “Alliance for the Future.”
You said in 2024 that Canada could become the hub for Europe’s carbon border mechanism. Now the same mechanism is a wall for our exporters already dealing with U.S. tariffs. Your Alberta deal slowed the industrial carbon price path, making linkage harder, not easier. The costs—compliance, charges, lost competitiveness—land on Canadian producers and then on the price of cars, buildings, and infrastructure.
This is not diversification. It is trading one tariff wall for another while the Parliamentary Budget Officer tracks hundreds of billions in cash borrowing beyond the headlines and interest costs climb. My grandchildren inherit both the debt and the higher prices.
Stop the slogans. Release the full memo, the cost estimates, and the actual commitments before you sign anything else. Canadians can decide if this is the plan they want.
Chrystia Freeland has Nazi relations that's why she is doing the shoulder lifts. It's how Nazis stand at attention. Didn't she invite an actual German Nazi to the Canadian House of Commons? Yeah she did!
The countries refusing Canada's membership is trying to help Canada from becoming like their countries. They are living proof of what mass immigration and green energy will do to Canada. EU MP Christine Anderson is warning Canadians to run! Wake up Canada or be another France!
From day one that's all Carney has been saying. It's a dangerous and divided world. There are ruptures within the world and we must build up his carbon tax and Net Zero scam so he and his buddies in EU can milk billions of taxpayers money out of Canada. Wake up before we lose.
Deliberate rhetoric from the regime. Regimes throughout history have used fear to keep people compliant and distracted while they consolidate power.
Mark Carney has said some version of “a more dangerous and divided world” nearly 100 times in 16 months—in speeches, press releases, mandate letters, and X posts. On election night he promised to end the “division and anger of the past.”
Since then:
• U.S. trade talks collapsed. 50% tariffs now hit ~$20B of Canadian goods.
• Deficit doubled from $36.3B to $72B in one year.
• 68,000 jobs disappeared in September. Youth unemployment at 13%.
• Groceries up 33% since 2020.
He keeps pointing at the world outside. The real damage is happening at home—to paycheques, housing, healthcare, and the ability of ordinary Canadians to get ahead.
When leaders constantly warn about external threats while the domestic results get worse, the fear isn’t accidental. It’s a tool.
Pay attention. 🇨🇦
Don't kid yourself, these 2 Nazis are scheming to milk Canadian taxpayers of every dollar they can get. The newly announced carbon tariffs is Carney's idea to get European countries to allow Canada to become a member of the EU. Did you get asked if you want to be a member?
🚨 THE EU IS SLAPPING CARBON TARIFFS ON CANADA.
$2.8 BILLION of our steel, iron and aluminum. No exemption.
Carney's been selling Europe as our escape from Trump's tariffs. Turns out they want to tariff us too. 😂
And that carbon tax we've been paying for years? It didn't buy us a damn thing.
How's that working out? 👋 #CarbonTariff
This F*ck'n Nazi has been milking money for years from Canada while Canadians are struggling to buy food or pay rent. Carney wants the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant back from Russia but he will never get it. Brookfield had the contract to supply top quality uranium to it. It's
100% agree! But how are the Liberals going to get away with their lies and robbery of the Canadian taxpayers money? Who is going to talk Canadians into giving away billions to Zelenski so Chrystia Freeland can make the deposits into their offshore bank accounts? Corrupt AF.
Being that the EU summit is in Quebec I would have thought that there would be huge protests in Quebec. Send Ursula Hitler back to Europe and let her know that she is not welcome and neither is her invitation to get Canada's money. She has gone to far.
Since Mark Carney became PM Brookfield stocks have increased significantly. Canada's status in the G7 has hit rock bottom yet Carney stands up in House and lies straight to the faces of Canadians. Bank rates are going up and isn't expected to drop until 2029,if Canada survives!
Who else remembers when Mark Carney said that he was going to make Canada an energy superpower? Almost 2 years and all hot air! Carney destroyed our relationship with the US, Canada's biggest trade partner, still no pipeline, the only thing that Carney has done is help Brookfield
This is Germany today. Germany has said no to Canada becoming a member of the EU. Not because they don't like Canada, because they do and don't want the same thing to happen to us. This is the direct cause of mass immigration. Like it or not its the truth and this is the proof!
It's never enough! Now Zelenski is saying that he needs $151 billion Euros right now! Looks like he is going for another big cash grab because things aren't looking good for him. Just a few hundred billion more please! What about us? Our politicians are giving our money away.
Mark Carney continues to lie to the Canadian people telling them that Canada is the best affordability in the G7. What do you think? How affordable is your life in Canada in the last decade? Has wages gone up or inflation?
Are Canadians not tired of hearing Mark Carney openly lie in the House everytime he speaks? Canada is the highest in this and the lowest in that, when Pierre Polievre just read the true statistics as cited by the Bank of Canada. How do the Canadian people not see Carney's lies!
Carney was asked about refusing to allow Quebec Premier to speak at the EU summit and avoided the question by saying that the Premier was invited. Being invited but not being allowed to speak in his own province is a slap to the face.
With a total of around $65 trillion in oil and gas that could create 100,000's jobs maybe millions and better the infrastructure, Alberta government votes to approve lifting the tanker ban. $65 trillion sitting in bank left to rot.
Alberta sent Canada a message
Canada just sent Alberta a message
Canada is keeping the Alberta Oil tanker export ban!
