NWS Charleston is deeply saddened by the passing of Jared Smith, founder of @chswx. Jared was a tremendous supporter/partner of the NWS and an important member of the Charleston Tri-County community. We send our deepest condolences to Jared's loyal followers, friends, and family.
Jared was a great man and this post was well deserved. The amount of people and lives he touched is astounding and his capacity to talk about his passion was endless. I will never forget the knowledge he helped me understand. Jared will live in my heart forever
Hanging out at the lakeshore in Barker NY and the arc is still hanging out on the horizon at 12:20pm. At right around 43N we should be in for a good show if a substorm pops. Lots of dense energy left.
