My thoughts are with everybody who has been affected by the terrible incident that took place at CFB Wainwright in Alberta last night, including members of our armed forces and the heroic first responders on the scene.
As Canadians, let’s come together to support our brave men and women in uniform, who put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms and our country. Ontario stands ready to help the recovery efforts however we can.
It’s Oktoberfest at the Germania Club in Pembroke! 🇩🇪🍻

I’ve been warning the federal government about the security risks of importing Chinese-made electric vehicles for months.
Leading European intelligence agencies are now ringing the alarm bells. It’s time for the federal government to take these concerns seriously.
If you were one of the people that laughed at Doug Ford calling them Chinese spy cars, you might want to think again.
Don't take Ford's word for it, listen to the Dutch, the Brits, the Germans and Norwegians.

Police officers put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe. The least we can do in response is have their backs, no matter what.
Today, I wrote to the Prime Minister outlining a series of practical steps to support and protect our brave women and men in uniform.
Our police officers put their lives on the line every day to keep our families safe and we’ll always have their backs.
That’s why we’re calling on the federal government to take immediate action to strengthen protections for frontline officers and keep our communities safe.
Congratulations to the Township of Madawaska Valley, the community of Combermere, the Combermere Recreation Committee and everyone involved on being a successful recipient of funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation! This investment has revitalized the Combermere rink!

This week, the EOWC is proud to celebrate the people, communities, businesses, organizations, and industries that make rural Ontario such a vibrant and essential part of our province.
From productive farms and forests to thriving small businesses, local food producers, and beautiful natural landscapes, eastern Ontario is a place where people come together and opportunity grows.
“Eastern Ontario is a vital part of Ontario’s story. Rural communities are at the heart of Ontario’s economy, culture, food production, and quality of life, and eastern Ontario is proud to play a role in that success. Every day, our communities contribute through the strength of our people, businesses, farms, natural resources, and our commitment to building sustainable places to live and work. Rural Ontario Week is an opportunity to celebrate those contributions and recognize the people who make eastern Ontario such a special place to call home.”
- Chair, Bonnie Clark

We’re saving Ontario homebuyers up to $200,000 off the cost of a new home by cutting the HST and lowering municipal fees, so we can keep the dream of homeownership alive and keep thousands of workers on the job.
Happy Rural Ontario Week to the people of the Ottawa Valley!
