An empowering and fascinating opening plenary at #PharmSci360 from Julie Gerberding, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health! A quick summary for those who missed it: ⭐ AI's role in drug discovery is still early, we don't yet know if it will outperform conventional discovery. ⭐ We have to modernize preclinical assessment, and that's where the FDA are backing new approach methodologies. ⭐ It's important to focus on end-to-end patient participation in clinical trials, not as an after thought. New awards are recognizing this value, such as the inaugural 2026 Prix Galien USA Patient First Award, which will be presented soon! ⭐ There is an increasing emphasis on defining both valid and qualified (context-of-use) biomarkers. Looking ahead, biomedical innovation will involve integrating novel alternative methods, AI, adaptive trial advancements, and other emerging techniques to enhance both the efficiency and safety of translational medicine. What were your thoughts on the talk? Comment below 👇

Successful #biomarker programs start with alignment 🤝   Whether you're an experienced Sponsor or new to biomarker assay development, collaboration between CROs and Sponsors is critical. This Spotlight shares both perspectives, revealing how clear communication, shared understanding of context of use, and integrated PK-biomarker strategies lead to faster timelines and better outcomes.  Find all of our resources here, in partnership with @Resolian_ >>> hubs.ly/Q04zg2fM0

On October 1, Immunologix Laboratories hosted the 3rd Annual Bioanalysis Symposium: The Science of Fit-For-Purpose Bioanalysis, at Le Méridien Boston Cambridge. The program spanned three sessions centered on a single question that ran through the day: how to design and validate bioanalytical strategies that answer the specific clinical question a therapeutic program needs to address, rather than defaulting to legacy assay conventions.
