I am making myself available for one on ones to help handhold coldcard users through migrating funds to whatever is available to them. I will first make an explainer video, then start reaching out to those who reply here asking for help. It will be impossible to get on personal calls with everyone, but I will get to as many as I can.
Nathan @theBTCmentor has also been doing this tirelessly. We will call on the rest of our Mentor team to carve out time where they can as well. If you personally believe you'll need a hand after the explainer video let me know. I'll be checking back in as soon as I'm finished and uploaded. It may take a bit of time.
Until then, here are some options:
-move funds to any other hardware you have that isn't a Coldcard
-move funds to a hot wallet temporarily
-use updated coldcard firmware to generate a new key (probably my least favorite option at the moment), but Nathan did make an explainer video on this because it's a few extra steps
Back with more soon.

i'm not satoshi, but I was early in laser focus on the positive societal implications of cryptography, online privacy and electronic cash, hence my ~1992 onwards active interest in applied research on ecash, privacy tech on cypherpunks list which led to hashcash and other ideas.

Major cheat code for life: Increase your recovery speed. You will get rejected. You will lose money. You will embarrass yourself. The goal isn't to avoid the fall. It's to shorten the time between the fall and the reset. Fast recovery compounds.

Nine months ago today, Steak n Shake launched its burger-to-Bitcoin transformation when we started accepting bitcoin payments. Our same-store sales have risen dramatically ever since.
Bitcoin payments for Steak n Shake burgers go into our Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, which then funds Bitcoin bonus pay for our employees.
We have combined a decentralized, cash-producing operating business with the transformative power of Bitcoin.
Thank you Bitcoiners!

The best advice I got in my 20s: Nobody cares. I often wonder how many extraordinary people waste their entire lives fearing the judgement of people who were never even thinking about them. Nobody is thinking about you. They’re too busy thinking about themselves. Go do the thing.

El Salvador is widely regarded as the first country to integrate Bitcoin education into its national public school curriculum, with programs starting in 2023 and full rollout by 2024 for students as young as 7. New Zealand's upcoming 2026 mandate would not be the first.
