Founders in crypto tend to get a bad rep for a variety of very legitimate reasons. And if anything, I tend to be one of the first people to call things out when I see them. But I wanted to take a moment to show some gratitude toward them too. Over the past few weeks on the road, I've talked to a bunch of founders in the industry about how we're getting ready to go to mainnet. The level of support many of them have offered has honestly been heartwarming. And you can tell they genuinely mean it. We're not launching a token yet, but I've been walked through all the nightmares they've encountered, things they wish they'd done differently, lessons they only learned the hard way, what it's like dealing with death threats, how to navigate the predatory service providers that inevitably come your way, and a lot more. There's no real reason for them to share any of this with me other than wanting to help someone else navigate things they had to figure out themselves. Especially because people actually pay a ton of money for this exact info, yet they're offering their time and this valuable advice for free. Maybe it comes from understanding the very specific pains another founder is about to face. But it's already made me think a lot about how I can pay that generosity forward when someone else is in my position one day. This industry can get pretty dark sometimes. It's worth appreciating the moments when it isn't.
