A truly innovative Bitcoin mining product. More of this.
Introducing Bitwater: the water heater element that mines Bitcoin. It screws into the electric tank you already have. Physically decentralized mining that runs no matter what 🧵 Heat water. Mine Bitcoin. Same tank.

I wanted to quote something from this but there were too many solid lines to choose. The whole thing is worth the watch. xitter.cf/coincenter/status/2110…

LayerTree looks awesome, but needing this many opcodes also seems like a pretty big catch...
Announcing LayerTree: a new tree-based scaling solution for Bitcoin that permits O(1), independent of the number of users in the system: xitter.cf/lightning/status/21108… A single UTXO can hold the balance of millions of users as an off-chain Merkle-sum tree. Transaction introspection techniques permit batched exit from the system in a single transaction w/o any pre-signing: layertree.tech

This is the best part of physical media. Curating your children's tastes while they're young in alignment with your own and experiencing your favorite music and books with them.
every morning my toddler wants to pick a new vinyl record off the shelf and i always compliment him "Wow buddy! What great taste! This music is so good!" and he smiles ear to ear but everything i have on vinyl is great, it's like shooting fish in a barrel

I don't usually get conference FOMO since I get to plan and go to Bitcoin conferences for work, but I am sad to miss the final @tabconf this year.

I paid a tax professional to do my taxes a few years ago, ran my tax returns through ChatGPT and it immediately found ways I could've reduced my tax burden by over $3,000. CPAs are cooked.

Check out this awesome tool for non-devs to learn about Bitcoin Improvement Proposals.
Don’t trust. Read the BIPs. Because nobody does. They’re written by developers, for developers. So I built BIP Explorer: all 213 Bitcoin Improvement Proposals in plain English, plus a map of how each one led to the next. bipexplorer.com

I understand that the social security conversation is political poison. But I’m not running for office so I don’t care about that. Taking huge chunks out of the paychecks of young working Americans in order to pay for the retirements of older Americans who have a net worth several times higher, all to prop up a system that everyone knows likely won’t be there when those younger people are retirement age themselves, is morally abhorrent and economically insane. Everyone knows it, too, but we’re held hostage by elderly politicians who refuse to surrender power, and older voters who, as a group (with exceptions, obviously), simply don’t care all that much about the financial and cultural future their grandchildren will inherit.

Reminiscing on my earliest musical memories to pick out the albums that had the biggest impact on on me. Threw a couple more recent, meaningful albums on the list too.

Men should always have cash on hand. You never know when you're going to need $5 for a last minute visit from the tooth fairy.
Men should always carry cash on them. I remember reading this in some etiquette/advice book that was lying around my family’s house when I was young and it always stuck with me. It’s gentlemanly. It makes you more attractive. Cash can always come in handy to get you out of a situation + you should have money to tip. It signals a provider instinct. I noticed it at mass this morning especially during the collection. Gen Z and younger millennial men don’t really open their wallets. A lot more QR code scanning. I carry cash too. Cash aesthetics are just better.
