Following the release of Opal 3.0.0, sehnsucht 0.3.0 is out. Besides a lot of bug fixes, the biggest changes are the move to Zig 0.17, updated visualizers with new themes, and full support for AdLib Tracker II's .a2m files in all versions.

Pretending for a second that this is a serious question: No, maintaining Hyperion with Claude is almost impossible due to the security-related limitations of Anthropic's models, especially Fable's.

For all you retro-game programmers out there: I just released Opal 3.0.0, along with updated Zig and Rust bindings. The biggest change is a rewrite of the core, and with it, Opal has outgrown its public domain roots. realbitdancer.github.io/opal

Agreed, and it's a little enviable. My CoH I2 server rebuild is playable, but missions and powers are reconstructed from memory and Wikis. Old I2 server bins would settle a lot of stuff I'm not sure about.

I personally don't work on Hyperion right now. The anti-cheat team has more than one project going on at the same time.

That was indeed what I was thinking about as I wrote the original post.

Yes, signing does help. Feel free to ask on the Roblox Dev Forum for a more official answer.

To be clear, if Hyperion terminates the client because an unauthorized handle was detected and no additional evidence is available, it is most likely just considered badware, and there are no further consequences.

This release slipped out so quietly I almost missed it. ziglang.org/download/0.17.0/…

Well, technically you are not modifying the client, so it normally wouldn't be an issue. However, you do open a handle to the client process, so Hyperion might clap you. Also, it depends on how you use the information you extract from the process. For example, if you write a virus scanner, it is not an issue. If you write an aimbot, then it certainly is.

Nostalgia is a powerful emotion. Just as veteran Robloxians crave older clients to relive their best memories, some of my best memories have been made in City of Heroes I2. If you happen to have any archived artifacts such as patched I2/I3 clients, please let me know. Thanks!

I get that all the time, mostly because I refuse to add "bro" to every sentence.
