Finally built a reinforcement learning agent from scratch in C++! After coding and debugging for 18hours straight (with some little break) today, it is completed. Not a single line of code is AI generated. The Agent tries to reach goal (the green cell) (slowed at 0:13)

I was in a very dark place before doing all this. I was not well at all. But helping others, meeting new friends, and just seeing the joy I can bring to devs gives me something to wake up for I am very grateful I get to do this. Thank you guys, truly ❤️

Hear me out: 99.9% of games made with gen AI are going to be cash grab.

LOL 😂 This pcb from hair straightener has a switch to change heating modes, but it only switches the LEDs. The heating elements are connected directly to mains AC 💀

Secured some heating elements from my sister's hair straightener 😆. I thought of using these in some of my projects but these are rated for 240V.😥

Anyone can make a game, but not everyone can make a good one. Gamedev is more than just writing code. It's about artistic vision, storytelling, game design, and understanding what makes a game fun. Coding brings a game to life, but creativity and design make it worth playing.
Anyone can make a game now with zero coding or game development experience. That is a fact. You do not need to know how to program to create amazing games. Coding by hand is a disadvantage.

I love how chatgpt has these interactive UI widgets in its responses. Sliders, buttons all right there in the conversation.

I had the same problem! You can use a free Microsoft utility called PowerToys. It has a feature that helps you quickly locate your mouse cursor.

How miserable do you have to be to use AI to copy an indie game someone spent years making with passion and hard work? 😢
A game developer has canceled its public demo over fears people could use AI to copy the game before launch Alliance Arts will hold closed playtests instead, with rules banning participants from using AI to analyze or copy the game

Finally some good news. Only $12k btw.

Although all discrete Intel Arc graphics cards combined hover around 0.25% to 0.30% total market share in gaming segment, I can make my shader for my game much much simpler just by excluding intel gpus, but my gut tells me not to.😌

I was literally searching a way to quickly change the active docs in VS 2026 a few weeks ago and now they added the feature 🫪

Finally got my custom multi-pass partial reduction shader working, with correct GPU readback results! More details soon. Now I can finally sleep.

Looks like I'm not the only one!
Feels like gpt6 luna gets stupider that longer you chat. it wasnt like this with gpt5.6

Also peeling tape inside a vacuum chamber generates pulses of X-rays.
PEELING A TAPE MAKES THAT SOUND BECAUSE THE ADHESIVE RIPS AND SENDS SUPERSONIC CRACKS THROUGH THE WIDTH OF THE TAPE AT UP TO MACH 2????

The first pass of my multi-pass GPU parallel reduction is working correctly. Only the second reduction pass remains. Once that's done, the complete GPU reduction pipeline will be working, and I can finally focus on my gameplay mechanics. (UE 5.8)
