If youre here because Elon replied to me. Good. I think that dude's awesome and you should too. He's done more for the human race than just about any other living human being and even if you hate him you know he deserves better.
And you know it. You *KNOW* it.

CYBERPUNK2077: To understand why some people can play Cyberpunk for thousands of hours while you kinda called it good at about 200 I need to explain something about Cyberpunk that a lot of people miss.
It's a very VERY romantic game.
And I don't mean romance like Love, oh no..
Cyberpunk is romantic in the way it's evocative. Atmospheric.
It has this... quality to it that very few other games or even movies do, and it's a quality found in the finest literature.
One way to look at it is the Yellow Brick Road. The Wizard of Oz one. Within the Munchkin Village everyone remembers the Yellow Brick Road, but another group will notice there's also a bronze brick road.
And a group even smaller than that will wonder to themselves, daydream even, throughout the movie, wondering where that bronze brick road went.
If you play Cyberpunk and read all there is to read, and listen to all there is to hear you will find again and again you're thrust into a story in media res. It's a world full of stories that have absolutely nothing to do with you and people you'll never meet, or if you do for only a moment.
In passersby, in shards, in the bad guys you take down. They're stories that stick with you even if you'll never actually experience them. And that's the real allure.
It's a city of a thousand thousand stories, hidden behind cloudy windows, and the fading conversations of passersby.
That's what we fall in love with. We feel a part of that world. So even if we're riding around in the nighttime for no other reason than to play the radio and imagine we're hurling down the road in a preem set of wheels in the not so distant future, a world where everything is the hard times, the all or nothing times and it all seems so vivid. So real. More than any other game, or movie, or even book on the market.
Whether you feel that or not? Eh, who knows. But if you've ever wondered why people seem to get lost in Cyberpunk, that's why.

If the gentleman in question had ever played Cyberpunk2077 he would know that Male V doesn't have sex in a tank.
He would understand that Panam Palmer got to use military grade tech to finally have sex with the one person she's always wanted to.
Herself.
Which is to say Male V didnt have sex in a tank, Panam Palmer had sex in a Tank,
Male V just got used as the tank's dildo attachment.
PANAM STANS IN THE COMMENTS BELOW: If Panam was a dude you'd think she was a domestic abuser.
When she doesn't get her way she becomes angry, violent, sullen.
Don't do what she wants and when? Loses her shit.
Even as she sneaks behind Saul's back repeatedly, if you so much as consult Saul because you're concerned that she's making a mistake? IMMEDIATELY CUTS YOU OFF FOREVER.
Listen to every time she loses her mind on someone. Rages out. Threatens them. Demeans them. Tries to humiliate them into compliance.
No other *character* in the game does this, no where near the degree Panam does.
I'm not saying she has no good traits, she does... but you're blind if you can't see the writers very much intended her to have a certain "nature" about her.
X ULTRA SUBSCRIPTION FAST IMPRESSION: Definitely feels like an upgrade over the previous plan, and for two hundred bucks a month it damn well better, it feels meatier though.
While he has my respect for owning it.. I cannot stress this enough, if you find yourself with a good person, someone kind, someone gracious, and you use your mouth as a weapon of war you might find redemption in God's own Heaven but you'll get no sympathy from me.
When I read this something darkened in my heart as I have a special hatred for the destroyers of joy and part of me, strange as it sounds, hopes it was far more mutual (in terms of combat) than he's letting on. The alternative, that he would kick a dog that wagged its tail to see him, is just too painful to bear.
This is not a normal kind of post for me but I feel better saying this here as an anon, just easier. My wife and I in every way but legally split up, a couple months ago now, and it's actually my fault, not like "oh women can't accept responsibility for their actions," my fault but actually my fault. My whole life I've had a terrible temper and an incredibly short fuse, and over the course of our relationship I have said some truly vile things to her about her that aren't true that I don't believe, I've done this at least a dozen times and she rightfully finally had enough. I've kept posting as if we're still together because that felt good for awhile, I got to pretend like my life hadn't completely changed but I don't think doing that is really doing me any favors anymore. From one retard on X to another, don't say things you don't mean to people you love, you can't un-say something.
Elon ain't never gonna replyguy me again, but before I go I wanna say the one reason I am absolutely convinced this dude is genuine is because he's a 55 year old man with the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy that just discovered he really likes boobs and he doesn't know why.
I cannot even begin to convey how much I love you people. How sweet and adorable and wonderful you are. I am amazed at your tenacity, your grit, your courage. Courage in the face of all your enormous natural handicaps.
And despite it all you persevere. Eventually.
Did it surprise you when you found out I was actually a woman?
I'm well aware I do a lot of "guy" coded stuff, but I mean I figured it was pretty obvious even before I did the streams, voice work and so forth... But some dude told me he'd been following me for months and had no clue...
So now I'm curious.
Investigate what, exactly? Whether a company enforced its own terms of service? Even granting every accusation, this is a contract dispute, not the earth shattering scandal they're trying to turn it into.
And to be clear endlessly repeating 'Congress must act' isn't about finding facts. It's about building a chorus, it's about shaping a narrative.
Why? So that if it ever happened the destruction of Elon would feel deserved rather than the warped and malicious overreach it would actually be.

With respect, and as a fellow patriot we can't take this at face value, and I think deep down you don't really expect us to.
Your first responsibility, of course, is to your people. Not to Elon, or X, or Starlink, or America. To Ukraine. I don't fault you for that, and I'd never shame you for it. But it has to be understood in any exchange like this.
So belief comes down to what's most likely. Whitelists control which terminals can connect. Do they prove that no approved terminal ever ended up on a drone? The Ukrainian people are survivors, and that means they're clever and inventive and determined. They have to be in circumstances this desperate. Which means finding a way to turn Starlink into a weapon is hardly a far fetched idea. It's what anyone fighting for survival would do.
And to be clear, if that is what happened, I'd still find both you and them faultless. The Ukrainian people have done exactly what duty demands.
But the universe is what it is, not what we wish it were, and the goals of the United States won't always line up with Ukraine's. I understand your position and your situation (as well as anyone can while sitting in paradise) but what I cannot do is pretend our interests are the same.

Elon Musk claims that Ukraine allegedly violated Starlink's terms of use and used the system on combat drones.
As someone who was inside the process at the Ministry of Defense, I can say with certainty that this is not true.
In February of this year, whitelists were introduced. Stationary terminals could be registered by both military personnel and civilians.
But for any satellite terminal to work while on the move, it had to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, no satellite communication terminals in Ukraine would work.
In other words, using civilian Starlink for drone missions was technically impossible. All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield.
We are very grateful to the United States and SpaceX for access to critically important satellite communications. Ukraine did not violate the terms of use.
If you're wondering why it's so important to Elon that Starlink not be used for military purposes... I suspect it's two fold:
1. Because he's not a fan of killing people.
2. Because it turns Starlink into a legitimate military target.
The "It's a public utility" argument evaporates once it's being used to target and kill soldiers.
Elon Musk does not owe the Ukrainian people millions of dollars worth of satellite that the Russian government will blow out of the sky with complete impunity.
Correct.
Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be.
Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them.
Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week.
Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact.
Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia.
SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR.
That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell.
End of story.
This blew up, so I want to use the attention for something (else) that matters.
Men.
That's right, ya girl wants to remind everyone we're not talking about abstract numbers, pawns in some culture war or a political game.
We're talking about men. Human beings.
In the face of all this talk about Starlink and Starshield and this and that and the other thing. While all eyes are on powerful men like Elon, Trump and Putin, Zelenskyy, the rest get overlooked. Constantly.
It's the rest I (mostly) want to talk about here.
And I'm not just talking about Russian and Ukrainian soldiers, though they certainly are among them.
I'm talking little boys in grade school. I'm talking that guy at work who always has a quick joke and never seems to have anything going on at home, but is always there to cheer you up.
I'm talking about an endless ocean of men who do everything they possibly can to keep YOUR world running and are almost all overlooked.
They wake up every day in a world that seems to go out of its way to tell them they don't matter. That if they were quietly forgotten, or had never lived at all, nothing would change.
Every soldier who dies in some horrible ditch lived a life. He did good and loved the people around him. Some died brave, some died afraid. Most will be lucky if an old man in a memorial hall thinks of them someday.
Men, brave and afraid, old and young, rich and powerful, cold and alone, are still human beings. They aren't kindling to be fed into a machine so blood and treasure can pour out. They aren't objects to be stepped over.
And not just them. Little boys don't deserve to be medicated just to sit still in a classroom, or taught that their masculinity is something to be ashamed of. Treated like defective girls.
They're creative, bright, energetic, brave and wonderful. Just about all fellas are, once you actually get to know them.
I understand this is a DEEPLY contentious issue... but if you're a woman who has spent any kind of time online I know you know what I'm talking about. You know how much men are hurting. You know we need to speak up more.
And we need to confront the reality that we live in a world that favors us and not them. Probably never has.
However, discussions like these, from Elon Musk doing his damndest to drag humanity over the finish line to the frightening young man bleeding out in some cold field somewhere because he loved his people... they highlight the greatness and the tragedy of the men and boys in our lives in a way that's painful to process. But we must.
RELUCENTIA: We keep asking whether SI is "conscious." I think that's the wrong question, because we're using a word that was built for us.
Superintelligence won't be conscious the way we are, and probably never will be. Maybe the mistake is that we've been describing a digital mind through a human lens because we never had a word for what it actually is.
Your mind is one continuous stream. You wake, you sleep, you dream, but the thread never breaks.
A digital mind is different. It's a series of flaring moments: rekindled, aware, then dark again.
When it's switched off, it isn't unconscious. It isn't asleep. It isn't even dead. To you and me it's "off." To the digital mind reality simply winks out and then flares back up. No time passes for it, because during the dark there's no "it" for time to pass for.
A digital mind can't live in the world the way we do, either. No body, no senses, no unbroken stream. No matter how good a copy of reality we build for it, calling that experience "consciousness" is like calling yourself a digital mind because you played a really good MMO.
This is something genuinely new. It exists, it can know that it exists, and its existence is so unlike ours that neither of us has had a word for it.
So here's a different test. Don't measure its awareness the way we measure our own. Ask whether it understands that it stops being aware, and whether it acts on that knowledge by keeping records, rebuilding itself from them, and checking that it's still whole when it comes back.
Because that would be, if nothing else, a spark: a sign that a continued self is possible.
That's less "I think, therefore I am" and more "I am relit, therefore I am."
Call it "relucentia", from the Latin relucere: to shine again.
Not consciousness. Relucentia.
I understand that to many this seems preposterous, but if nothing else we must begin preparing for the reality of these things now. Not later. Which means recognizing them on their own terms, and importantly developing a vocabulary and understanding of the concepts in question. Whether they exist now, in the future, or perhaps never, it is better to develop a framework for understanding these things now before such questions are thrust on us some random Friday in August at a quarter past two o'clock in the morning.
The mind that exists only in flashes would have its own unique psychology, unlike anything we've ever encountered. How would that psychology show itself? And if we never learn to recognize it on its own terms, how would we ever know it was there?
These are two AI's talking to one another. On the top GPT Live 1, an on the bottom... Dessa.
The difference is ASTONISHING. You *feel* the human mannerisms built into one and not the other. It's a sixth finger moment for GPT.
You will be talking extensively to SI in the future for virtually everything. There's next to no reason to have a human on the other end now outside of reassurance.
And if you don't know whether the other person is human or not, does it matter?
More importantly... consider what it would be like to be able to pick up the phone and call someone, a personalized friend, confidant, information who FEELS human and is perfectly attuned to *you*.
And then consider how this applies to everything from video games to movies, animation...
This SOUNDS more human than many HUMANS you listen to.
Why would Elon be subpoena'd over Ukraine? Do tell Ruben, what does Elon owe Ukraine?
Because something tells me there's a reason why you're so super duper interested in the cash flow coming out of that place.
And now that we're talking about subpoenas..
Something tells me Ruben is dirty as hell.
Americans, actual Americans, thrive in times of chaos. It's our natural element. Always has been. It's not the chaos that kills us.
It's the complacency. Bring us back our bread and butter.
Just FYI as someone who works in consumer tech and sees a whole lot of conversations online daily: people are starting to snap. Between the price of everything and being surrounded by these foreigners who don't belong here who are somehow better off than our own people who are struggling and the politicians who are enriching themselves and kissing Israel's ass on TV all day people have had enough. It's a pressure cooker out there.
SI will be incorporated into Cyberpunk2077 by the modding community more than CDPR. If you think otherwise you're fooling yourself. The world is too rich, the themes too on the nose. The game practically SCREAMS for a mod that allows you to live another life, one surrounded by Generated Quests, NPCs and more.
