In March 2025, a governance vote brought all 70 billion back into a Strategic Reserve escrow, on a 5-year lockup that releases about 1.167 billion CRO roughly every 30 days. The Sensex jumped 1,109 points yesterday, and the final-hour surge followed one sentence. It was up 618 at 2pm. Then Finance Minister Sitharaman said the government will hear views on LTCG and STT, the taxes on stock gains and trades. It closed at 73,034, with the Nifty up 1.6% to 22,722. There's no proposal yet, and crypto isn't part of this debate: crypto gains still pay a flat 30%, plus 1% TDS. Tonight at 6pm IST, US September inflation lands, seen near 3.7% from 3.4%. Bitcoin is holding $83,000 and waiting. Also: Russia's central bank cleared Sberbank to exchange crypto, with bitcoin, ether and USDT on the draft list from 1 December.
