I have stood at several podiums in my PR career, but I can't imagine the weight of being behind this one in the WH Briefing Room, which we saw during our recent West Wing tour. It is a reminder that the flag and logo behind it stands for democracy in the free world.

Last year, teams that trailed by 9, 10 or 11 points (needing a TD AND FG to tie or win) with 5:00 minutes or less remaining in the 4th QTR were 2-90.
In both wins, the trailing team kicked the FG FIRST and kicked it PRIOR to the 2:00 timeout. BYU comeback over Arizona and Texas comeback vs Mississippi State.
Neither of those teams kicked the FG intentionally early. But it was FG FIRST that won both games.
Beyond that - every other game was a loss last year.
I’ll update for 2026 when the season ends.
RT @AlbertBreer: I would not surprised to see Philip Rivers’ name here.

It will never happen as sideline passes are handed out at some places like candy. Smaller scale: had school at Bahamas Bowl give names for mgrs/trainers (more than usual) after explaining sideline policy. Checked names: major donors. Asst AD fessed up and did not get the passes.
Embarrassing incidents between players and fans seem to be on the rise in college football.
Maybe it’s time to tighten up those sideline passes and treat the field of play like the workplace it is.

Not having rings for your assistant coaches ready for opening night is one thing. Pulling a phishing test on your front office employees using a championship ring promise as bait is next-level BS by MSG upper management.
New tonight out of New York: Knicks coaches didn’t get rings on ring night. And that’s not the only jewelry related affront to some MSG employees, @TheAthleticNBA nytimes.com/athletic/7715834…
