Apparently there is a trend where women ask their veteran or active duty husbands if they would do well in war.
My wife didn’t like my answers.
Water pump went out on the Sienna this morning.
Thankfully I heard it and it started leaking at the mechanics shop parking lot while we were there to get it checked out.
Taking her to go get a rental now. For some reason she doesn’t want to drive the F550.
I sponsored feeding the middle school basketball players and cheer leaders.
This is how much salsa I brought home as leftovers.
Is this heaven?
To be brave enough to pull out in front of a 30 year old truck with a 16’ dump trailer full of logs must be an amazing feeling.
It’s either bravery or stupidity. Either way I envy them.
Finishing up a $13k land clearing job today.
Sold the customer another $25k this morning we will be starting January 4th.
Starting next year strong. I’m going to be the dominant tree service in North Alabama next year.
Next stop is the Sennebogen 718.
My 14 year old was paying for something she wanted to buy at Walmart.
I told the cashier to make sure the money wasn’t counterfeit.
The look she just gave me could kill.
Probably need to sleep with one eye open tonight.
Your attitude on a job site is almost as important as your results.
I am currently finishing a job with a sub contractor for the last time.
He has complained the entire time.
So he will never have to complain about a job from me again.
A friend of mine just agreed to a price on stump grinding.
Me : Cool man I’ll send Brandon out next Wednesday.
Friend : Nah man if it’s cool we can just wait until you are available.
Me : Bro I’m not gonna lie that stump will probably never get ground if you want me to do it.
Friend : Oh… well nvm send Brandon.
Our minimum for stump grinding services is $250.
I don’t get as many stump grinding jobs anymore because of that.
But I get almost all of the big or multiple stump jobs.
I’m not trying to get every job. But I am trying to get every profitable job.
My wife and I are spending our first night away from the kids since Quattro was born.
We are only going 20 miles away.
Baby steps.
Between driving the F350 around and unloading the stump grinder she’s learning the rest of the equipment.
I have an employee that I recently moved to full time stump grinder operator.
He’s too slow to be anywhere else on my crew.
He’s great with a stump grinder because he has a pretty solid attention to detail and I never have a major time crunch on stumps.
Since moving him to this position he has been destroying everyone on reviews.
Dude legit gets 2-5 5 star reviews a week on his job sites.
He doesn’t do better work than my other employees, he definitely isn’t as efficient but what he does do is talk.
He will take the time to actually talk to customers and figure out what they really need. If it isn’t too far out of the job scope he will handle it without bothering me.
It’s working. I’m really happy I made this move because he has done so well. Plus since the bonus system on reviews was implemented he is making an extra $25 per review.
