People that donβt know that he became an Iron Fist nerd over the years are gonna go crazy when he starts talking about the character in comic cons next year ππ
THIS. + instead of going the route of adapting his modern comics, letβs adapt elements of the first 10 issues of Hellblazer, while using the social commentary of the modern day world.

U thought it was lame bc your ass was expecting a big MCU name to appear, btw, not because the story around it was bad.

Marvel Television is reportedly moving away from making shows like "movies cut into parts."
β’ It's now relying more on traditional showrunners, as seen with βAGATHA ALL ALONGβ, βWONDER MANβ and βVISIONQUESTβ.
β’ Future shows will stand more on their own.

I'm sorry, but this didn't work for you because you were always expecting a "big" name, and even the producer did everything he could to keep your expectations down. The event was always connected to the first synthezoid, and they fully demonstrated that in this episode
Why the twist about the client doesn't work
Spoilers for Visionquest episode 7
In this episode we finally get revealed (sort of) who the client is.
It's Phineas Horton's grandson. But that twist doesn't work storytelling wise.
In this episode we learn about the family history of Phineas Horton. That he was obsessed with completing the human torch because he couldn't deal with the death of his son James. His wife leaves him and his daughter steals the notebook with the source code.
In Jocasta's memory we learn that there was a sixth member of their company, the one that Ultron based his avatar on.
he was the one who handed the source code of the human torch to them. The one they used to develop Proto-One.
How did he get it? He inherited it from his mother, Phineas Horton's daughter. He's the one who built the body of Jocasta.
Now why does this plot twist not work?
If you think about good plot twists in storytelling there usually some sort of recap of all the hints that were dropped throughout the story. That way you can rewatch or reread the story and it becomes a completely different story given the knowledge you have now.
Think of Pulp Fiction for example.
But that doesn't work here. There was nothing in the previous six episodes that pointed towards there being a sixth member of the company. There was nothing pointing towards Phineas Horton having a daughter and how the source code got to the company through her son.
None of that was even hinted at. All that info was dropped on us right before the reveal. That's not a clever reveal. That's not a good plot twist.
At first I thought the client would be Jim Hammond himself. There have been several hints towards that. And we got him in this episode restoring Vision's identity. So we did get that.
But Horton's grandson? He came out of the blue.
