Seeing a lot of polar vortex posts. Well, the weather market doesn't seem to agree - PHL Nov HHDs trade 410 today. Dots = historical Nov HDD, Orange line = 410.

Sen. Adam Schiff uses committee privilege to explain plainly what Jack Smith discovered. And more importantly, evidence Republicans don't want us to see.

Pretty clear why Kstate’s wide receivers were in the portal.

Each Starship launch could generate $1 billion in revenue. Elon is aiming for 10,000 flights per year, or $10 trillion in Starship revenues, by 2030. If SpaceX achieves this goal, its $1.75 trillion IPO will be considered, in hindsight, a deep value opportunity!

El Niño pricing in weather market. This is a visual of a Nov-Mar HDD put spread in Minneapolis. Traded today for 25 ticks (on a 200 spread). Said another way, someone paid $0.125 to make $1. Historical EV = zero.

The silver lining in all of this Texas Tech stuff will be the incredible resources and support devoted toward those in Texas suffering from addiction, via the newfound progressive mindset of moneyed right, anxious to give second chances and lift the struggling from their plight.

This is excellent. Better than 99.9% of the things posted by the recruiting complex and coaches. Great stuff.
Yesterday I wrapped up my college baseball career as well as my playing career. I was reflecting on some things that I wish I knew coming into college or somethings that I would tell younger players interested in playing college baseball. So here they are in no particular order⬇️

“I love this guy and I’ll always, always have his back,” Chris Klieman said, “so Collin, come on.” Chris Klieman called Collin Klein onto stage on Friday night. What happened next will resonate within K-State football for years to come. Story: kstatesports.com/news/2026/4…

It’s difficult to process the stupidity that has taken hold of the world. With that said, can’t wait for the Pod Guy’s post about the behind the scenes brilliance. I haven’t mustered up the strength to mute him yet.

Brad Underwood - coaches hard. Has class. Sets an example. Congrats @IlliniMBB
The sane washing of the Nick Cronin and Danny Hurley ilk under the guise of “coaching hard” is fg pathetic. Being a classless douchebag ≠ coaching hard, and these absolute clowns using “developing young men” as a personal shield for their own lack of discipline is laughable.

Something every commodity trader learns, eventually: it can always go lower/it can always go higher. Particularly when you think it’s as bad as it can get.

The entire natural gas and electricity industry uses trended means (warmer) as inputs into their s&d models. The weather derivative industry trades around trended averages. I've worked in the energy and weather risk business for 30 years - it's all priced on trended numbers.
Hi Tony— have you seen what’s happening in the insurance world? They are ahead of the game and using climate change in their modeling. Ask anyone in Florida to example! Insurance companies have changed significantly in the last decade
