"As far back as 2016, concerned residents wrote a memorandum to the City complaining about discoloured water. Brink, then MMC for Corporate and Shared Services, confirmed that two of the three pumps drawing water from the river were broken, that the reservoirs had not been cleaned in years, and that the sand filters needed replacement. Two of five high-lift pumps were broken, and the rest were past their life cycle."

This October, we opened the Jabulani Swimming Pool to the public. It is an important milestone in the Jabulani Transit-Oriented Development, delivered through the Johannesburg Development Agency.
Alongside improved roads and better connectivity, the Jabulani precinct shows what we mean when we say infrastructure must change people's daily lives. I encourage residents to make use of this facility and help us look after it.

At least 408 people have fallen ill after being exposed to contaminated water in #Bronkhorstspruit, #Tshwane. Tests by the NICD detected, amongst others, Norovirus and Shigella in stool samples.
"He said party mayoral candidates must not attend mayoral debates nor give interviews to the media. Only international media would be granted interviews.
