The Sunday Times and @thetimes has partnered with @Book_Aid as part of our Get Ukraine Reading campaign.
So far this year:
📕 13 million books have been destroyed by Russian attacks on libraries, warehouses and printing presses
📗 In one warehouse, 20% of all books printed in Ukraine were destroyed by drone strikes
📘More than 2 million school textbooks have been destroyed
📙Around 12,500 schools were without textbooks for the start of the new year
Please consider donating to Book Aid International to help restock Ukraine's destroyed libraries. Link in reply 👇

We cannot let these attacks wipe out Ukraine's educational resources. That is why The Sunday Times is incredibly proud to partner with @Book_Aid for the our Get Ukraine Reading appeal.
They are working on the ground to get brand-new books back into the hands of students and restock the libraries whose shelves were destroyed.
Every £2 donated sends another brand-new book to a Ukrainian child or library.
Please consider supporting the appeal and sharing this thread to help us rebuild what has been lost:
