In the Holy Book 2nd Peter 1:2 "Remind them though they know." That's the clarion call as Raymond reminds Luos to be practice gratitude and reciprocate the favor done to them by Kalenjins in 2007.

Oketch Salah has finally spoken kabisaa.
This is now the stand of most of us.
Your word is final.

Let me be clear: Baba would never have taken ODM into a coalition government with UDA without a properly negotiated framework. He was planning to meet President Ruto to discuss structures that would protect ODM’s interests while supporting Ruto’s second term.
2/5
I want to believe Raymond Omolo has been misunderstood. How else would anyone expect a coalition government to be formed without negotiations and clear arrangements? Negotiation is responsible leadership. It does not amount to issuing conditions.

ODM cannot be reduced to the “share yetu” argument associated with Gachagua and the Mt Kenya vote. ODM is a national party, with supporters from Mandera to Isebania, Lamu to Turkana, and everywhere in between. Their interests deserve proper representation.
4/5
Let nobody confuse support for President Ruto with surrendering ODM’s identity, mandate or political space. Baba understood the responsibility he carried. Any agreement had to respect the party and the millions of Kenyans behind it.
5/5
And let me state this without fear of contradiction: protecting ODM strongholds was non-negotiable in any UDA-ODM arrangement. Baba would not have accepted an agreement that undermined them. I was privy to his thinking, and I can personally attest to that.
Let them stay guided. ODM is a national party and it determine who becomes president 2027.
Nyanza is broadbased

The Luo–Kalenjin bond must outlive the politics of 2027. Our communities have stood together through difficult moments in our history, that solidarity should not be reduced to the interests of individual politicians.
