A productive weekend. Saturday community litter pick. Sunday community gardening session 🙌🏻 Cleaner, greener, brighter Bootle.

Lots of colour in Oxford Gardens. It's a lovely little spot to stroll through during this Mental Health Awareness week. I've sorted under the Southport Road sign today and it should look good in a few weeks time.

Absolutely delighted and humbled to have received our King's Award for Voluntary Service (MBE) yesterday evening. We were one of 3 groups in the Sefton area to receive the accolade. Thank you to all our volunteers and sponsors 👏

A brilliant day at Buckingham Palace. This invitation to a garden party was to recognise the positive contribution Bootle Action Group has made to the community over the last 10 years 🫅💚

Back to it today 💪🏻 5 volunteers made a start on weeding the flower beds in Oxford Gardens. Hundreds of Sycamore seedlings to remove 😫🌱 but lots of laughs too.

On 2nd April 2016 our first litter pick took place on Brewster Street. So naturally we returned to the same location to do another one on 2nd April 2026. 25 sacks of litter and a few other unbaggable items. Why are some dog walkers so 👎

Our penultimate Mother's Day litter pick in and around Bootle Cemetery. 50 sacks of litter later.

As well as our group litterpicks, we support members of our community who like to go solo. We provide all the equipment they need 👌Well done Julie and Elaine 🙌🏻

It's time for the community Christmas Tree to come down. This was funded by the community for the community 👏🏻🎄

6 volunteers today. 15 sacks filled with litter. A great morning/afternoon doing good in the community. Then afterwards our volunteer Carol invited us to her home for some well deserved warm lunch 😋 #KAVS2025

We are hosting a community litter pick on 30/11/25 from 11am-2pm. Meet at North Park Lodge. All welcome and all equipment provided.

We are delighted to finally share our good news. Our group has received Royal approval and we have been awarded a King's Award for voluntary service. Thank you to all our volunteers past, present and future #KAVS

We made the most of Saturday's Autumnal Sunshine 💪🏻🍂🍁

Wow just wow. All our hard work this year has paid off, as judges award Oxford Gardens the top mark. Oxford Gardens is officially 'outstanding', and our volunteers are too 🙌🏻

Been too busy to post of late. Out with the old and in with the new.

Brilliant. And I spot our geranium border 🙌🏻

4 hours in Oxford Gardens today. We are ready for North West in Bloom judging 🙌🏻

Another 2 alleyways cleared and to be transformed into valuable community space. A collaboration between this group, one vision housing and Sefton Council. Benches and planters made by local charity Bootle Tool Shed 🙌🏻
