2025 is breaking all the records that we never wanted to💀. According to a recent report from @coingecko, 3.7M out of 7M tokens listed on @GeckoTerminal have failed since 2021. That’s a 52.7% failure rate, with 1.8M tokens out of em collapsing in just the first 3 months of 2025 alone. We’re talking about the 25% of all tokens issued in the past 5 years gone in a single quarter 📉. Why is this happening? - Well, the so called “The memecoin frenzy”, fueled by projects like pump.fun, flooded the market with tons of memecoins. In 2024 alone, 3M new tokens were launched, yet half of them didn’t even survived that year. Fast forward to 2025, and the gap between launches and failures is only a thousand tokens apart. 99% of these Pump.fun tokens never even make it to the open market.
