As I lay the 2026 Red Sox to rest, I wanted to give a final thought to this season. I learned a lot about fandom this year, there were times I was pessimistic and times I was optimistic but the lines got blurry between being reactionary on both sides. The reality is my grandfather lived 80 years of his life never seeing the Red Sox win and was a diehard fan, I have seen the Red Sox win 4 times in my life with a lot of life to go, I will stay on the boat whether it sinks or everyone jumps off and we turn course. As for this team, point blank we peaked too early and injuries are part of the decline but not an excuse. At the end of the day I wanted to see progress from last year and what lost us the Wild Card again was our offense, as well as our rookie manager, well... Looking like a rookie manager. There were so many extreme ups and downs this year and at the end of the day, Craig Breslow during the win streak stole the credit for what the players and role players were able to do for this team that built an identity that worked for this team for a couple months, then they strayed from that. John Henry must have felt the biggest relief in the world that he didn't have to fire his CBO after he let him fire Cora... but now he will have to face much more scrutiny than if this team didn't turn the season around. You let the Yankees who are equally hurt kick your teeth in while you tried to be the Tampa Bay Rays 2.0. I have heard it straight from the source that Henry thinks we are spoiled and he proved that to be true this year yet again. I will not be renewing my season tickets (this was my first year and a dream I was able to make come true). I have to thank every person on here I have interacted with, made friends with and even argued with, it was a rollercoaster that frankly has drained my psyche. But I will be here every year rooting for my team. Go build a real offense and stick to an identity and above all Go Sox.

It's just unc rest day #noworries

This blew up way more than I thought... I'm going to Hell

Bro ask Jesus to give you peripheral vision

Every post on X that's like this really proves the dead Internet theory

Again, love and respect JB for what he did for this team AND city. But you can directly compare the two completely different ways that JT and JB have gone about this. JT said it right... One of them is an entertainer the other sticks to basketball

Hagens getting the job done, can't say enough good things about this kid

Good things happen when Pasta just shoots the puck lmao

Bruins should just decline the power play today lmao

I remember when people called me insane for wanting Liam Hicks and Otto Lopez in one big deal at the deadline...

Disgusting powerplay for the #NHLbruins TF did I just watch lol

I love this man

Man shout out Tatum, I've always respected him staying out of drama and taking the high road. Also side note: Tatum haters are very quiet after his performance tonight 😭 Stay on that side

I'm not sure how anyone can point to just one single thing that caused the patriots to lose tonight. Defense was bad. Coaching was bad. Oline was bad. Penalties were bad. Drake was bad literally once all game, the rest was a masterclass. A true team loss by every definition.

Fuck man, that was a winnable game by the pats

Barmore genuinely sacrificing himself there

A turnover would be the difference in this Pats Bears game #ThursdayNightFootball

Our defense is getting absolutely chewed up
