Since Diesel is also an internationally traded commodity, prices are heavily influenced by worldwide supply and demand. Europeans were hording diesel to intentionally drive up prices to hurt Trump going into the mid-terms. He called them on it and essentially forced them to release theirs. That was about a week before announcing his agreement with Putin. It also happens that the U.S. hasn’t built a new refinery in several decades, never mind several having shut down in the past four years. Also contributing to today’s prices are regulations that require low-sulfur content which have significantly increased the cost of refining diesel. Doing research isn’t hard; give it a try!

As to promises not kept, yet against enormous odds, the constraints of time and physics, and opposing forces seen and unseen like the deep state, Democrats, European elites and the media he’s remained focused on: ending conflict and engendering lasting peace and security; lowering fuel prices (refineries cannot be built overnight); the promise of tariffs (which the Supreme Court struck down); allowing the deficit to rise (albeit with the willing support of both Parties); securing elections (which Democrats have fought tooth and nail to block, while Republicans refuse to pass the SAVE Act); and the unrealistic prospect of uniting the country.
Maybe not all good, but certainly not all bad, and clearly the good far and away outweighing the bad!
