Did you know that September is Deaf Awareness month? In honor of celebrating and spreading awareness of Deafness, Deaf culture, hearing loss, and Deaf identity, here are some helpful tips that were shared by one of our very own Boundless Washington students, Josiah!
Nice! Way to go @BoundlessWA! – at Federal Way, WA
During our last excursion, our fellows went on a night kayaking tour to experience the famous #PNW bioluminescent algae. 💚 Check it out! #waedu #waleg

But there's a lot more to our students than just their disabilities. So we're celebrating Ritika's cool new skill and ability to break into the visual arts — but don’t mistake it for a simplified disability narrative! Ever.✌️ #waedu #waleg

#BoundlessWA consists of 2 parts: outdoor adventure + leadership training for young people with disabilities. This weekend everyone got out of their comfort zones by setting up camp, doing a nighttime kayaking trip, and sleeping (or trying to sleep) in a tent. 🏕 #waedu #waleg
