Holy seasonal depression. What are you guys doing to stay afloat?

I’ve been too sad to post this earlier, but I lost Daisy this summer, she had cancer. Thank you all for loving her, she was the best girl.

I hate living on a planet where someone murders their children, and there is no culpability. We live in the upside down.

I wanted to thank everyone who checked in with me via DM, text, and under my last post. I hadn’t been back on X, therefore haven’t responded to anyone, and I’m so sorry for that. Thank you all, I have so much love and appreciation for you. This loss of my friend from suicide has been a struggle for me. Hugely painful. It’s also brought up a lot for me from the past loss of my dad, whose anniversary of death is next week, so just very difficult time. Life can be so damn hard and so very painful at times. I know most of us here are going through it in some way. Current loss, past loss, trauma, perpetual pain of all sorts… most of us have touched this place, if not live here full time. For now, I’m just resting a lot. Trying to regain footing. Being regular with therapy. Snuggling my dog. I am going to plan some travel. Some hiking, my body needs to be reminded it’s alive. Hopefully some writing. I’m not ready to be back here fully yet, but I wanted to check in and say thank you for your support and messages, and also here’s a pic of the girl for you. She’s good. She got her teeth cleaned and got a checkup and she’s doing well🩶

I just found out a friend of mine took their life. The last time we spoke was the day they died. I told them “we got this”, and I guess this time it wasn’t true. It’s devastating to me the chains of addiction and suicide. I am so sad. I hope you’re safe and peaceful now, T💔
