Here is my Top 25 heading into Week 8. I feel good about my top 15, but 16-30 feels impossible to rank.

These excuses fall pretty flat when you recognize he’s using the grind of a schedule he hasn’t even played yet as explanation for why he’s 2-2.
Lane Kiffin continues to make a strong case against the SEC's move to nine conference games. More losses, more beat-up teams and less roster depth in the transfer portal era. His biggest point? SEC teams are being punished in the rankings for playing tougher schedules. Hard to argue with him on this one.

They’re going to do this, and then immediately criticize the Big 12 and ACC for not scheduling enough P2 games in the OOC.

Much to my dismay, there are only 2 football games in the After Dark window. If you insist on Quad Boxing, here is your multi-sport solution:

Big 12 has parity: the conference sucks Big 12’s contenders dominate: the conference sucks The Big 12 can’t win, and it’s all due to brand bias. They have OOC wins over ND and Oregon, but it’s not enough because they weren’t all dominant programs in the 70s.

"The Big 12 is not that good and shouldn't be getting love because there is no parity and the best teams are winning and not losing." These are the same people telling you that the Big 12 is not a serious conference because there is too much parity. Panic is starting to set in for the SEC shills.

How much has the talent spread around in college football now that three or four teams can't hoard it all? This week, 92% of all games have a Vegas line of 2 scores or less. A decade ago, same week, that number was just 65%. That's an enormous jump.

When the SEC flaunts their 10-2 OOC P4 record I want you to see who they beat besides OSU: 2-4 Ga tech 2-4 Kansas 3-4 Florida St 3-3 Az St 3-3 NC St 4-3 Louisville 4-2 Baylor 4-2 Clemson 4-2 Minn They beat a bunch of bad teams, and want to be crowned the best because of it.

Hurts either gotta sue the Eagles or request a trade. Dude could have literally died
Jalen Hurts reportedly went roughly 36 hours without sleep after doctors diagnosed him with a superficial blood clot in London and advised him not to sleep as a precaution. He still started against the Jaguars, throwing for 220 yards and a TD. (@TomPelissero)

This is why we rank based on what happened on the field, not what hypothetically could happen
Everyone ranking BYU #2 in the nation in college football is melting my brain. They a double digit underdog vs at least 10 other teams on neutral field. What an overreaction

Very RARE AIR last night for Bear Bachmeier 🤯 He’s the FIRST FBS player in the past 30 years to throw, catch, and rush for TD against an AP TOP 5 opponent in the same game

38-2 in non conference. How impressive. Surely this isn't just more SEC media propaganda! Let's see how that breaks down: ◽️12 P4 opponents ◽️18 G5 opponents ◽️10 FCS opponents Wow, so only 10 of those wins were against P4 teams. Surely you're playing the tops of these conferences...? unranked ACC #4 unranked ACC #6 (3 pt win) unranked ACC #11 unranked ACC #14 unranked ACC #15 #25 Big 12 #5 unranked Big 12 #6 (1 pt win) unranked Big 12 #16 #3 Big 10 #2 (1 pt win) unranked Big 10 #7 So only one opponent that was ranked before today? Out of those 40 games you only won a single game against a team in the top 20 and by one single point??? Surely that can't be right. And then you lost to the other top 10 team you played (3rd best in the Big 12 according to the polls) as well as the unranked Big 10 team who has only managed to win one conference game??? Surely this can't be true because 38-2 just sounds too damn impressive.
Florida beating Texas Auburn beating Georgia Tennessee beating Alabama Like it or not, you are already seeing why SEC would be in favor of 24 team playoff. Reminder: SEC is 38-2 in non conference games this season. The league is deeper than ever before.
