LSU has recently lost arguably two of the most transformative coaches in its illustrious athletic history, and college athletics. Skip Bertman and Dale Brown were men of vision and conviction. They were “belief before evidence” to their core. They barn stormed the entire State of Louisiana in building their programs, and changed the perception of what people thought they could ever become. Great coaches, and two of the best people you’ll ever meet. I was honored to know both while at LSU, and each signed their book for me. I am a lucky man.

Two approaches:
- How much visiting offenses fall below their expected yards per play.
- How many additional wins the home team earned vs ranked visitors compared to the Elo expectations.
Both measures put Death Valley at the top (i hate that but it is what it is)

Ricky Blanton made a great point to me today, Dale Brown was the original brand ambassador for LSU.
Long before marketing and social media, Brown was creating relationships that promoted his program and his commitment to people.
