Huskers have played Oregon in Eugene twice in the past 9 seasons. In one game, they scored 35 points…and lost. In the other, they held the Ducks to 17 points…and lost. Unreal. 🤦♂️
In golf terms, Huskers have on at least 10 occasions, needed a two putt from 15 feet on the 72nd hole to win the tournament. They keep trying to lag that putt and have ended up three putting every single time. At some point, it’s time to focus on making the 15 footer.
Dylan time. This will either be the most satisfying Husker win in recent history or the most painful loss.
Enough evidence now to conclude that Rhule can make poor teams decent but can’t make good teams great. Look at his record against ranked teams. Great teams don’t merely hope other good teams give games away…they go and seize them. Rhule does not appear to grasp that reality.
Good news! The Nebraska defense gave up 42 fewer first half points than it did in its last game in Eugene. #GBR

If this keeps up in Lincoln, Cignetti is gonna cancel the second half and schedule Eastern Kentucky.
Evidently Indiana is incapable of committing a penalty? 6 consecutive quarters now without one. Hmmm….

Nebraska, I’m excited to announce a project 6 months (and arguably a few decades) in the making. Coming in November, my new book:
SWEET DREAMS: The agonizing struggle and euphoric awakening of Nebraska basketball.
Here’s the preorder link.

Based on 100+ hours of interviews, this 250-page hardcover is the most comprehensive account of Husker basketball ever. But it's not just a history book. It's also a Fred Hoiberg biography. And an in-depth narrative of the 2025-26 season. The book features hundreds of amazing photos. It'll look fantastic.
I’m beyond grateful to have the opportunity. I’ve wanted to tackle this project for years -- just ask Kent Pavelka -- but the timing wasn't right until Nebraska’s breakthrough season, culminating with the epic weekend in OKC.
I’ll have much more to say (and many more thank-yous) as we get closer. But for now, preorder and you can save $10 off the cover price. In November, you'll get the book shipped straight to you.

Other than Wrong Way Roy Riegels in the 1929 Rose Bowl, this is the worst play in the history of this game.
