ALT Three years on from 7 October 2023, people continue to live with devastating loss, suffering and uncertainty. Today, we remember all those who have lost loved ones, and the families and communities still living with the consequences of this conflict.

ALT A year on from the declaration of a ceasefire agreement, the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains catastrophic. People continue to face insecurity, displacement and enormous challenges accessing the essentials they need to survive, while humanitarian organisations face significant challenges and dangers in reaching those who need them. Despite this, the Palestine Red Crescent Society continues to provide vital health care and humanitarian support to communities across Gaza and the West Bank.

ALT In Israel, Magen David Adom staff and volunteers continue to provide vital support to communities affected by emergencies and hostilities. The International Committee of the Red Cross continues its vital work as a neutral intermediary, which has included reuniting hostages and Palestinian detainees with their families. But this complex humanitarian crisis is far from over.

ALT That’s why civilians must be protected and humanitarian workers must be able to carry out their vital work without risking their lives. Aid must be able to reach people safely, wherever they are, so they can get the support they urgently need. Red Cross and Red Crescent teams will continue to work tirelessly to support people affected by this crisis, guided by our powerful fundamental principles of humanity, neutrality and impartiality. Béatrice Butsana-Sita, British Red Cross chief executive officer

If you've been separated from relatives because of conflict, natural disaster or migration, we may be able to help you reconnect."
