64 of the #BYUfootball players served missions somewhere across the world!
Before going to the BYU/Notre Dame game last weekend, I made an unexpected pit stop: The Provo Missionary Training Center. On trying to understand how the system fits with athletics, and making peace with my return visit: extrapointsmb.com/p/a-second…

BYU SHOULDN’T HAVE BEEN LEFT OUT OF THE PLAYOFF LAST YEAR. BYU SHOULDN’T BE LEFT OUT OF THE CHRISTIAN CONVERSATION. BYU SHOULDN’T BE DISRESPECTED FOR THEIR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS. BYU SHOULDN’T BE LOOKED DOWN ON BY ANYONE. BYU SHOULD BE THE #1 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY. GOD’S PLAN!

About to land in Utah for the thousandth time, but this one hits a bit different because I'm here to watch Notre Dame play. 🏈✈️ Huge credit to BYU AD Brian Santiago and ND AD Pete Bevacqua. They took a simple intro last winter and turned it into a top 10 matchup, College GameDay, and prime time on ABC this Saturday.👏🏻 Honestly a full circle moment for a Catholic kid from Jersey who grew up dreaming about college in South Bend. And after 15+ years of coming out to Utah, getting to know the sports fans, and learning about BYU, I’ve always felt the two schools share the similar values and spirit. All that said… Irish by 100 #LeaveNoDoubt ☘️ (And Go Jazz + Mammoth!)

Notice that Nephi didn't talk of Christ so his children would never sin. He talked of Christ so that when they did sin, they'd know where to turn. Be gentle with your kids' sins and mistakes. Your response shows them what kind of Savior is waiting.

Incredible opportunity below. Who do you know that fits the profile?
You'll start seeing A LOT of these installations of Superchargers from The EV Group (EVG). This one is in Pensacola, FL and will be opening later this month! We are pursuing locations in ten states currently and I NEED A LEADER to run this business. As President of EV Supercharging, you'll lead growth to attain our goal to own 1,000 Superchargers in the US. This is a startup, so for the right person it's more of an equity play at this stage rather than a big salary. You will own a real piece of what we build ... and the economics can be pretty incredible. Tesla runs the network and pays us the balance every month. We own the ground game: find or work a site, cut the deal with the landlord, hire and work with the construction contractors to get the power, get it built and get it open. Then we do it again and again!. Who I am looking for: ⚡Startup hunger. Long hours and a new playbook. ⚡Understands real estate. Leases, landlords, site selection, utilities. ⚡A deal maker; negotiating with retail, developers and utilities every week. ⚡Someone who can run complex, multiple site projects simultaneously. ⚡Excellent communicator, detail oriented and highly professional and polished. ⚡Strong financial understanding; spreadsheets and analysis are a happy place. ⚡Significant, proven experience doing the above. This isn't an aspirational role. ⚡Strong preference the role is at HQ in Utah, but potentially open to remote. This person doesn't have to come from the EV world. I didn't! I care a lot more about whether they can close a landlord and hit a build date than whether they know what a kilowatt is. Besides, we will teach you the charging part in a week. If this sounds like you, or you know someone it sounds like, comment below or send me a DM. We are going to go build 1,000+ of these!

🔥🔥🔥 Love this @sterlingmsnow! 👏🏾👏🏾
I wanted Redo to be the place we could try every idea, no matter how crazy it seemed. One of the first was tying 100% of Engineering promotions and comp increases to revenue milestones. Here's how it works: 1. When a product line hits a revenue milestone the "treasure chest" of titles, equity, and cash are unlocked. 2. The engineers are then review 1-5 both from their technical leaders (quality, speed, etc) and their GM (business level impact.) 3. That blended score turns into a % of the cash and equity they will get from the treasure chest. 4. Repeat as many times and as fast as the product line can grow. It has created insane alignment between what the customers (the people we serve and the ones who pay us) actually want and what we build and at what speed. Also aligns the GTM teams with the Builders in powerful ways. It has also allowed us to be more aggressive in our comp, because when Redo wins the people on the team win too. *dummy data but you get the idea

After 2 long years, HE'S HOME! My son has offered the last 2 years of his life as a missionary for @Ch_JesusChrist, serving in Santiago, Dominican Republic. 🇩🇴 He has had many days without running water or electricity. He's walked the streets, knocked on doors, and talked to every person he met. At a time where he could have been playing D1 football (he committed to play prior to leaving), he made the choice to leave everything behind and share a message that brings true joy to our life! He was not forced... but chose to go serve. On Friday night, after not seeing him for 2 years, he arrived here in Utah. My favorite part of the video is seeing my wife jump for excitement when she sees him walk through those doors! Pure joy. So proud of @jackson_blake4. He left a young man and has grown to be a man. He loves His Savior and loves everyone around him. I could not be more proud to be his dad. Glad to have him home!!

Coug Connect has a great premise — donate to help the players. They’ve lost the plot, imo. They are mixing truths, partial truths, and misinformation in order to grow subs — and it be difficult to know what falls into each bucket. And they and their loyal followers absolve themselves of any wrong doing because it’s in the name of the players. Coug Connect has gone in a place where people join expecting insider info. The problem with that is that you feel pressured to consistently provide that info and run with info that is partially true or untrue in order to meet your subs expectations and grow your subscription base. TLDR — I believe it all comes from a good place, just has gone too far in this direction.

Sometimes the Lord asks us to step into responsibilities that feel bigger than we are. In those moments, I treasure the counsel, “Trust in the Lord” (Proverbs 3:5–6) and the Savior’s promise, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you” (John 15:16). When you feel you are not good enough for the task you have been called to do, remember: The Lord’s confidence gives you the ability to boldly move ahead. President Thomas S. Monson taught, “Whom the Lord calls, the Lord qualifies.” Trust in the Lord. Offer what you have and let Him make it perfect. Move forward with humility and courage. He will strengthen your works and magnify your consecrated efforts.

We got you @erc95. Plans + install are in the works. They’ll be located right next to the J-Dawgs, Cubby’s, Zupas development.
If there was a Tesla supercharger station on Lehi, Utah then @elonmusk would triple his net worth 👀🙏🏻😂

If you’re struggling right now in any way, skip the life hacks for a minute. Go to church this Sunday. Even if you don’t normally go. Even if you’re “spiritual not religious.” Even if you have PTSD from the religious boredom of church as a kid. Just go sit in the back row and be still for an hour. Almost everything in your life right now is optimized for production or consumption. Slack, spreadsheets, TikTok, email, sales calls. All output and input. Almost nothing is sacred, quiet, or unmonetized. Church is one of the last places left that isn’t trying to sell you something or steal your attention. It’s an hour built around the idea that you are more than your revenue, or your value. It's one of the few places where the only goal is to confess your flaws, let them go and have some faith. It's a place that will welcome everyone, even and maybe especially if you hate yourself right now. Sit, stand, sing, or just listen. Let someone read words that have outlived every empire and every market cycle. Let your brain remember: money is a tool, not a god. You are not the sole author of your story. You’ll walk back out into the same world, same problems, same bank account, but it will feel a little less loud and a little less about you. That’s insanely useful if you’re carrying heavy stuff right now. Tomorrow, you can go back to your problems. Today, give yourself permission to just be a human. If things are brutal right now, consider this your permission slip: Close the laptop. Go to church. Let God be bigger than your to‑do list for one hour.
