The seventh @BrockmanLab & @mmreally1 lab community volunteer event. Today we spent the morning at @kinshipmke working on their urban farm. Always good to give back and witness the amazing work being done in our community.

Another successful, enjoyable @BrockmanLab, @mmreally1 community volunteer event. Our labs spent volunteered with the family meal program at @RMHCmke. Giving back provides perspective and reminds us of all we have to be grateful for. Bonus: homemade☃️ hats brought many smiles.
Great opportunity to work at a fantastic institute with an excellent mentor. p.s. the location isn't bad either.
yes, come and do a PhD @GlycoGriffith with me to understand gene regulation and host-interactions in order to design better treatments and vaccines against a range of bacterial pathogens. Only caveat is that male members of the lab must have a beard....

Great piece of work out of the @sciency_atack lab. Grateful to have been part of this work investigating the role of Lav phase variation on NTHi pathogenesis.
Finally published online - Zak's paper showing that an outer-membrane protein - Lav - from NTHi randomly switches expression, and is involved in host-cell adherence and biofilm formation journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128… 1/

latest preprint from PhD student Zak Phillips @GlycoGriffith @greg_tram with great collaborators @BrockmanLab @DocBrockman @AmyVJennison. We show that an NTHi autotransporter has a role in adherence/biofilms, and is more diverse than previously thought -biorxiv.org/cgi/content/shor…
Congratulations Dr. @r_mokry! 🎉 Wonderful presentation with lots of cool data. You are an amazing scientist and a fantastic student and member of the department, at and away from the bench.
Congrats to Dr @carliebossA! Great presentation of all your amazing work. We wish you all the best!
Congratulations to Dr. @val92loz. Val did a fantastic job presenting and defending all of her amazing PhD work and is now off to start a new and exciting journey in science. Many wishes.

Honored to have been a part of this exciting work and to have published it in memory of Dr. Stephen Barenkamp.
latest work from us @GlycoGriffith with great collaborators including @DocBrockman - a major NTHi adhesin - Hia - has evolved to bind glycans (sugars) found in the human respiratory tract mbio.asm.org/content/11/6/e0…
