Couldn’t be more proud. I remember just hoping he’d be okay and alive, much-less pitch again. Once I saw he was out of the woods and made it through the surgeries, I had no doubt that he’d be the best pitcher he possibly could be. He’s a freak of nature, so of course at 36yrs old he fought his way back and remains among the top echelon of pitchers in the game. So proud of my little brother… but not surprised.💪

Good reminder not to feel bad for the way things ended with this guy. He’s not a bad person but he is an immature petulant entitled man who squandered his supreme talent because he was too lazy to put in even the bare minimum work to refine it.

I think this baseball/cricket discourse has actually made me less impressed with cricketers. Like I’ve always respected their skill and athleticism, but every single highlight that cricket defenders on here have been using to try and impress us has been underwhelming.
It wasn’t on this date or a WS game but if we’re drawing dubious comparisons to iconic Joe Buck calls they should’ve gone with this one. Both the phrasing and the context (team trailing 3-0 coming back late to force a game 5) were the exact same.
Tough luck for Drohan. The game was tied on a grounder up the middle that might’ve been a double play ball had the infield not been drawn in and won on a Baltimore Chop that probably wouldn’t have gotten out of the infield had they been playing on natural grass.
The Rays situation right now reminds me of some Phillies games where it just feels like we could play for 30 innings and the offense couldn’t find a way to score it’s incredibly frustrating as a fan
