角竜の頭骨標本展示コーナーが圧巻！ 前回の2頭(セントロサウルス／カスモサウルス)に、たんば恐竜博物館所蔵の4頭(ディアブロケラトプス／ナストケラトプス／スティラコサウルス／コアウイラケラトプス)とパキリノサウルスが合流。計7頭が並ぶ姿はまさに壮観でした。 #大恐竜展 #たんば恐竜博物館

The Giant of the Skies, Tropeognathus mesembrinus is legendary for its inclusion in Walking with Dinosaurs and the real animal was just as impressive if not more so. Tropeognathus ranks among the largest non-azhdarchid pterosaurs of all time.

For people unaware: the SVP abstracts this year are password protected and not public, me and many others have pushed for this cause... well the previous system was simply stupid. The abstracts SHOULD become open after the conference.

フクイステグス (カツヤマケンリュウ) 全長 5m～7m 白亜紀前期の日本に生息していた装盾亜目・剣竜下目のステゴサウルス科・ステゴサウルス亜科の恐竜。 1987年に北谷累層で発見された骨板の標本に基づいて和名カツヤマケンリュウと命名された日本産の剣竜類。 標本は所在不明となってしまった。

タウロヴェナトル 全長 10m～11.8m 白亜紀後期の南アメリカ大陸に生息していた獣脚亜目のカルカロドントサウルス科・カルカロドントサウルス亜科(ギガノトサウルス族)の恐竜。 属名は、アルゼンチンのリオネグロ州にあるヴィオランテ農場にて発見された事に因み「雄牛の狩人」を意味する。

アキロバトル 全長 5m～6m 白亜紀後期のアジア大陸地域に生息していた獣脚亜目・真手盗類のドロマエオサウルス科・ドロマエオサウルス亜科の恐竜。 アジア地域で最大のドロマエオサウルス科の属。 属名は、鉤爪のある後肢のアキレス腱の語源に因んで｢アキレウスの英雄｣の意味で名付けられました。
