And I can’t believe I had the great honor of working with THE CAMERA GUY for 22 of his incredible 40 seasons. Love you, brother! ❤️
One special night.
Tomorrow night is a big night for our family.
12 years ago, Karla and I started the Clint Hurdle Hot Stove Fundraiser with one simple goal; to make a difference for kids like our daughter Maddie.
Maddie was born with Prader-Willi Syndrome. A deletion of the 15th chromosome. No off switch for hunger. No cure. But a whole lot of fight, joy, and grace.
She never got asked on a date. Never went to prom. But every year this night is her night. And it means everything to us.
Tomorrow, as part of our 12th Annual Hot Stove Fundraiser, we'll be auctioning off some incredible items:
🏆 Steve Garvey Autographed Jersey
🏆 Ted Williams Autographed Framed Jersey
🏆 Clint Hurdle Autographed Framed Jersey
⚾️ Many other MLB Items
💎 Jewelry
⛳ Golf Trips
✈️ Exclusive Luxury Vacations
...and more.
Every dollar raised goes directly to the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association supporting families who are walking the same road Karla and I walked when we first got the diagnosis.
Can't make it in person? No problem.
The auction is online so anyone, anywhere can bid and support these incredible kids.
Tap the link in my bio to place your bid.
God puts people in our lives to grow us in ways we couldn't get to on our own.
Maddie's proof of that every single day.
Make a difference today.
Love, Clint.
So are we, Clint!
I'm really looking forward to this weekend!
On Sunday I'll be at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh for a Book Talk.
I'll be sharing stories and lessons from my new book, "Hurdle-isms"
I'll also be signing copies of the book for attendees, and it will be available for purchase at the event.
Admission is $10 for non-members and free for members
Tap the link in my bio if you want to buy tickets.
Make a difference today,
Love Clint

Yesterday, we joined Logan Elementary School to launch their Chill Mobile Week.
In an effort to address our community's youth mental health crisis, Pirates Charities joined forces with its healthcare partner, Allegheny Health Network, on the Chill Mobile unit. This 33-foot mobile mental health unit, along with mental health professionals from AHN, deploys to schools throughout the region each year.

The Pirates' annual Faith Night is set for Saturday, May 4, after the Bucs-Rockies 4:05 game. It's also Star Wars Night with the first 20,000 fans taking home a Mitch Keller Star Wars Bobblehead.
Little flashback after hearing @gbrowniepoints, @NeilWalker18 and @mearshannah_ talk about Mitch Keller’s emotional rise to club ace.
As a young light-hitting lefty in the 80s, I would often imitate the distinctive wide, crouched batting stance of The Hit Man. Learned today that he adopted the stance in the minors and it was a cross between two of his favorite hitters: Gates Brown and Reggie Jackson.

Hard to believe 27 was a seven-year minor leaguer. The Pirate Hall of Famer’s backup plan was to use his Marietta education degree to become a high school math teacher.

A week ago I hosted a Q&A with Josh Palacios at a small ballpark gathering. My biggest takeaway was how Josh’s deep faith has given him a peace and joy to overcome setbacks and get better every day. He also makes homemade ice cream. We all left as huge fans of @P_lo21_ .
