Why do people get surprised when a good earnings happens and price falls?
Ever heard of “expectations”?
Buy the rumor sell the news?
If something is expected to do good it will be priced in and you see the opposite direction post earnings release
The same way something unexpected gets a “crazy” reaction
It’s not rocket science
Now of course there are some cases with extra news or something new coming out during the release which can naturally steer price post earnings. As well as consistency in previous earnings or Future Guidance.
The posts I see here on X sometimes baffles me and I wouldn't even claim to be that knowledgeable on this topic

Turns out I was right by saying this morning to wait for pdc and I still didn't listen to myself. Doubled down on the pdc/bullish engulfing candle. Sold 70% at cdo road the rest up. My last runner did hit 500% but missed the sell and was going to see if we would retest og50 and bounce. As soon as it broke under I sold my last runner. Poor entry but great execution on the rest.

THE CEASEFIRE HAS COMMENCED
The ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia took effect at 4:00am Moscow time on October 27, 2026.
Timing was accelerated two days ahead of schedule to protect the safety of civilians and to facilitate the delivery of critical humanitarian aid. The ceasefire’s geographic area has expanded beyond Oleshky, within the Kherson Region, to provide safe passage for the humanitarian convoys.
General Valery Gerasimov, Joint Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces has confirmed.
